Always expensive for the genuine Canon ones so shop arround. Don't change them if you get the "ink runing low" message, wait until your print-out is poor or broken text. That way u will get twice the mileage from them.

I purchased this product in February of this year. I don't use my printer very much, just for the occasional copies. I have printed approx 50 copies (probably less) and the ink on both the colour and black cartridges has run out. I have now noted that the cartridges are only 8ml which wasn't clear at the point of ordering. False economy and I will definitely not be ordering this item again.

I am absolutely disguted with the amount of colour prints you get from this product. On installing this ink, both black and colour at the same time and after running a print head allignment, I only got 22 colour photo's 7x5 condensed to 2 images per A4 glossy inkjet paper. That is scandelous for the price I paid. I would have to buy at least another 4 to print the rest of my brothers wedding pictures. Considering this was our 'on a budget' option it's extremely expensive for the output you get from one colour ink cartidge.

I always wait until printer prints poor quality images before changing the cartridge. I never change when the machine gives you low ink warning, after the warning you will get many more pages before cartridge runs out. Genuine Canon good print quality, seems to last longer than the cheaper versions I've tried in the past. These days I stick with Canon.Will buy again when need arises.

Great value, but would pay the extra and get the XL in future. Put the cartridges in and did some printing for my sons revision and the printer was warning me the colour ink was getting low!! I think I managed about 50-80 sheets which isn’t bad but believe the XL goes much further.

Although these cartridges function well as components of the printer, they are hugely overpriced for the amount of ink they contain and therefore for the working life you can expect from them. This looks like the classic printer scenario in which the printer appears to be modestly priced but the cost of the cartridges is where the workaday total cost mounts up.

BEWARE. I have never reviewed a product before however buyers should be aware that the product they are buying is only 8ml cartridges which is not clear in the product description. Also check returns policy as its a costly process. Would not recommend or buy again as very disappointed with the whole experience.

Ink is More Expensive Than the Printer

I previously had a very similar printer which could use recycled ink cartridges at a fraction of the cost but this printer is another story! I literally paid the same on sale price for the printer as I paid for the ink refills! I searched everywhere online for cheaper refills but had no luck. The print quality is inferior to my older cannon printer as well. I would recommend that if you are planning on buying a printer you'd be wise to check the price of ink refills first

Very disappointed with the amount of prints this makes. Never had a cartridge run out so fast. The amount I print they tend to last a year, this didn't even last a month

I'm not a heavy printer but expected far more than 20 small colour prints before the warning came up for it running out and the prints became poor and missing lines. The black has been used a little more but even that has run to almost all out in far far less than the 180, more like 50 when the missing lines started again.

I'm a disappointed with these cartridges - the reason being although I purchased them in Sept 2020 (now 2 Aug 2021) I have printed 20 pages and both cartridges are showing low on ink - 20 pages is nowhere near the 180 pages advertised even accounting for the cartridges being in the printer it's very expensive for someone who only needs to use a printer now and again
