GENUINE ITEM

Having used these blades for a few years now I decided to see if I could purchase them online cheaper than what I normally pay at a major supermarket. As there appear to be fake copies about I thought I would try these knowing that I would immediately know if they were fake or not as I know exactly what they should feel like and how close they should shave. Well they are the genuine article and I will never pay supermarket prices again.

Fakes - Dangerous

Usually buy these blades from local shops but decided to give these a try as seemed like good cheap deal even though some reviews claimed theses are fakes. As soon as blades touched face knew stright away they were fake, continued using it as had no other blades to use , but had to stop when blood and cuts apeared on face.

These blades are cheap, but not worth risk of cutting face to save a few pounds for real blades,

There is a lot of debate about whether these razors are truly genuine or not. Some suggest they are cheap knock-offs. Certainly when they arrived they looked like the real deal, however I have to side with those who speculate they aren't genuine Gillette razors. The issues are as follows:

- After one use the blue lubricating/moisturising strip on the top of the razor is almost all gone. Normally when I get them from a supermarket the blue strip can last for up to a week, sometimes even longer (I shave every day).

- Some razors become blunt very quickly, some do not. It's a bit of a lottery as to how long these razors will last. I have had one razor last a week, however several have become blunt within 1-2 shaves.

It's really hard to know if they are genuine or not, perhaps there are some genuine ones amongst cheap ones.

I think buying these at the reduced price is equivocal to buying them from the high street when you factor in how much use you get out of each razor. It is certainly convenient getting them from the internet, however I will be buying them from the high street next time.

Just about to re-order. Checked with husband how low his supply was. He told me he thought they were fake Fusion 5. He said they don't seem to last very long and not giving him such a close shave with the packet ordered here. Off to supermarket, higher priced, but will be the real McCoy. Be wary about purchasing these.

I only shave once a week and I'm lucky to get 4 decent shaves out of one blade, after that it gets quite uncomfortable. Hardly justifies the price at the best of times, with this in mind even less so. I can start to see why every man and his dog has a beard these days.

These were a gift for my dad, blades were as expected but the packaging was terrible! The barcode and delivery stickers were stuck directly on the actual box so I unintentionally opened the gift box without realising! It really should have been put in another box or at least in a plastic delivery bag. I’ll just have to apologise to my dad about its appearance when I give it to him!

Definitely not genuine, been using shop bought Gillette for years and thought I would get these as they were such a good price. I immediately noticed they had no blue strip and when using they didn't "glide" across the face smoothly. Instead I ended up with a sore face with a couple of small nicks. Worth paying the extra for the genuine ones
