Amazing dupe for Lancôme Hypnose mascara

An amazing dupe for my Lancôme Hypnose mascara - and a fraction of the cost. I layer my mascara because I like a bit of a clump but it glides nicely if you just want separated and lengthened lashes - just make sure you use the correct side of the brush. Is it called a brush? The plastic bit on the end of the wand?
Anyway, it dries out so work quickly and it’ll keep for the 6 months you should have a mascara open for. If you’re reading this and you’ve been using a mascara for longer than that, BIN IT IMMEDIATELY.

No, really. It’ll be crawling with bacteria that you’re just putting next to your eyes every day. Replace it with this mascara as it’s cheap as chips and fab! Only downside is that the tube is ridiculously shaped. Is it mascara or a space ship? Who knows.

Normally order this without any issues the product itself is fine but this time I have received the product with hair all wrapped round which makes me question how safe this product is as it could of been used

I have used this mascara since it first launched many years ago and never use any other kind of mascara so I'm really familiar with the consistency etc. and love it.

However, I am really not convinced that this product is authentic. It doesn't layer at all and doesn't curl my eyelashes like this product usually does. It's mostly worn away by the middle of the day - again, very unusual for this product because its longevity is part of the reason I have purchased it over and over again. It's easy to remove but it shouldn't be - the authentic product often takes a wee bit of scrubbing because of its nature as a thickener/volumiser.

Really disappointing.

DONT BUY. ITS A FAKE PRODUCT. I have never reacted to a mascara before but this one used to burn my eyes and cause infections. I thought maybe it’s the formula but then I used my sisters bought from Superdrug and it was absolutely fine. This is deffo a fake and harmful. Avoid buying if not from boots/Superdrug

Bought this instead of my usual brand as they reviews were great. It looks awful! An hour after application I happened to glance in the mirror and it looked like I’d just woken up! How could under my eye look grey when I only use mascara on upper lashes?!. It looked like I’d gone to bed, rubbed my eyes and woken up a few hours later! How?!? I never touch/rub my eyes, so how could it have crept off my eyelashes and caused an awful shadow around my eyes?! Beyond dreadful

No tamper proof safety seal

The product was sent in a clear plastic bag. On opening the bag I discovered there was no safety seal to ensure the product hadn’t been “tampered” with.
Despite not being willing to use a product that could have been potentially tampered with or one that’s not come in the usual Maybelline packaging (as would be the case in store), I opened it and the mascara inside was lumpy and tacky (as though drying out).
Sadly won’t be using this purchase.

I’ve been using Maybelline for years now but my normal mascara wasn’t available so I tried this. Having spent years of my individual lashes being extended and highlighted, I hate this. The wand drags huge amounts of mascara out, as the brush isn’t bristles, and then clumps groups of lashes together. Trying to use the wand to separate the lashes only deposits more gunk on the lash end.
Basically, if you want to look like a startled anime character (with about 5 giant lashes per eye) then this will be great. If not, don’t buy.

I just dont understand all the good reviews. It is not good mascara. First of all it came unsealed- it put me off but I still decided to try it. This mascara makes my lashes very clumpy, the brush is not good. I will never buy it again

This mascara is awful. The wand gets coated in far to much product which ends up clumping instantly on the lashes, giving the effect of spiders legs. I tried applying it several times and gave up after my eyes got sore from washing it off. Very disappointed!

Came without any protective wrapping, the tube is scratched, when opening - looks like somebody has already used it. Decided, okay, I'll try it, if the mascara is really good as described, could give a chance. But not in this life... My lashes are not huge or volumed, but with this mascara, it looks like I have only 3-5 of them. The lashes are sticking together, the mascara is chunky and leaves lumps. My eyes are quite wet (especially when I laugh), so should say that the product is waterproof, as described, but it left dark marks on the lower eye.

I wish that I could rate this zero stars as it was that bad. Curved plastic wand made application overly complicated.
The mascara made my naturally long thick lashes somehow look shorter and spread out at crazy angles, so that they were all in spiking in different directions.
It also spread mascara onto my eyelid making me look like a child had applied my make up!
Not to mention the mascara doesn’t come off with my normal eye make up remover.
This is quite literally the worst mascara that I’ve ever used, a total waste of money as it can’t be returned and has gone straight in the bin!
