5.0 out of 5 starsAmazing for the Value!

I bought these after the demise of my previous headphones, some JVC gummies, which I picked up from a supermarket for about £10, and I have to say for a very small difference in price the sound and quality and build quality greatly outshines that of the JVC, these headphones have a metal ear bud (where as the JVC were a cheap plastic construction.

First impressions:
The first thing you will see when you unbox this will be its initial packaging, although it doesn't have much to do with the actual product itself it's always nice for a product to be packaged nicely. In this case the packaging is very sturdy and proctets the headphones well, it also feels very premium with a matte finish with a glossy image of your product that is embossed into the cardboard, the flip door on the front of this is sealed by small magnets which then reveals the product itself in a clear window. Overall the packaging is very professional and it feels very much like a premium product you are purchasing. Only one small issue I came across was when removing the earbuds from the moulded plastic packaging, I found it quite difficult to pull these out of the sockets they were in, however it's probably me just being to light handed and picky but oh well.

The build quality:
As previously mentioned, the construction of the ear. Buds are primarily metal, which overall give a better wuild quality and also makes this seem like a very premium product that your buying as many other headphones at this price point don't offer this!

The 3.5 mm jack is also angled (which offers its own benefits) and also helps it last longer as it helps to reduce the wear on the wires, (the JVC pair I mentioned earlier have a straight jack, often I would find that the cable bent backwards which eventually ruined the connection)
The cable on this pair also has a flat cable which will supposedly mean they tangle less (however I am yet to see this in action as I haven't had these headphones awfully longer) it also has a chunky plastic cover where the cables split/merge where they branch off for each ear bud, which also allows these to last longer than other headphones.

Sound quality :
The no:1 reason that I bought these headphones was for the sound quality, and compared the the old JVC and stock Samsung and Apple headphones I've used the sound quality and frequency and sound range is far superior. It had great bass, whilst not drowning out other frequencies, the other headphones I mentioned started to become very muddy sounding when I played songs with high bass or a high frequency range, however when playing the same songs these deal with this range much better, the sound still remains crisp and clear. They also offer good volume levels as well, when the more budget ones I've used aren't nearly as loud as this , as before I've tried to listen to songs and found that the sounds on a busy bus still over power that of the music I'm listening too.

The sound quality for this price is incredible, and is probably the best £12 headphones I've bought

Overview:
Overall if you're looking for a CHEAP and affordable pair of headphones to perhaps replace your standard, stock headphones that came with your mobile these pair are definitely an amazing choice, for the price their sound quality is unmatched!

I hope this review has helped a few people make up their minds when buying these :)

1.0 out of 5 starsHandsfree Mic not working
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 21 January 2019
Have several pairs of Betron headphones. They fail quite frequently, usually one ear loses sounds. Customer service are generally good at replacing them. I thought I would upgrade by buying this more expensive model as I'm fed up of the cheaper models being so unreliable. Sad to report that the mic on these didn't work on the first call I made. It was riddled with interference and an overriding humming noise which made it impossible to do a call. It isn't the phone, it works fine with all the other sets I have. What a shame, they looked more robust than others. Sadly I've lost faith in this brand now, guess it is time to invest in an pricey, well known make of headphones.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Quality, Durable Earphones
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 2 July 2017
Colour Name: BlackVerified Purchase
Order Placed: 29 December 2016
Price at Purchase: £14.99

Overview:
It was a while ago that I bought them so I can't remember exactly how long they took to arrive, what packaging they were in or what was in the box, but the actual earphones I am still using today, so I can talk about them quite easily.

Pros:
- L-shaped headphone jack to insert into your device which means they won't get damaged as easily -> I have broken other earphones that have had a straight plug.
- Comfortably fit in your ear -> also come with other shape/size ear buds if the one on the earphones doesn't fit well.
- Durable -> I was listening to music and actually dropped one of the earphones into a glass of water but after drying them they still work fine and sound the same.
- Good sound quality -> I'm not an expert with bass etc but to me, they sound good and I am very impressed for the price.
- Noise cancelling works well and external sound is very quiet and muffled.
- Very easy to untangle the cables which is a big problem with some earphones.
- They look attractive.

Cons:
- A small thing, but the cables have twisted slightly and it bugs me a bit.

Conclusion:
They are some very good quality headphones that have lasted a lot longer than many of my other pairs and sound exceptionally good for the price.

Score: 9/10

5.0 out of 5 stars Best daily headphones for the price
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 19 January 2021
Colour Name: RedVerified Purchase
I've purchased these exact headphones three times - they have broken after 6 months of daily use each time. Why do I keep buying them? They check off all of my requirements, listed in order of priority:
- Fit comfortably in my ear, for up to 8 hours at a time (Apple earbuds hurt my small ears; these have multiple sizes for all ear-ed people)
- In-line mic
- Angled (or bent?) audio connector, which is SO CRITICAL as it greatly reduces the chances of a cord breakage/disconnection because it sticks out less from the base of my phone
- At a price point I don't have to worry about replacements due to breakage or loss (back when I used to leave the house and go places, like the office)
- Good bass but not overwhelming so I can use it for music, podcasts, and the never-ending Zoom calls
- Clip to corral the cord (though it's most effective if I slip it under my shirt/jacket so it doesn't catch on door knobs, etc.)
- Tangle-free flat cord (well less-tangled, and easy to untangle at least)

I don't use these for working out beyond a strong power walk - not sure they would stay in ears with more bouncing. I don't need headphones for my home workouts anyway. Perhaps I should move to wireless headphones but I can't be bothered to charge them and I'm afraid they won't stay in my tiny ears AND good ones are pricy... so Betron I'll see you in 6 months and 1 day from now.

Bought as my previous headphones weren't very loud or clear when in noisy environments. These seem ok and the price was really good although in terms of noise cancellation I'm not sure how much better they were than my old ones.

Update: clearly to harsh on this product, just been using these beauties at work to try and drown out a colleague who wouldn't stop talking, extremely low volume - no outside noise at all. Would most certainly recommend on that basis alone.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great sound - Useless Microphone
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 5 July 2017
Colour Name: BlackVerified Purchase
I initially wanted to return these because the microphone is useless (at least on my pair) however the sound for listening to music or gaming is excellent. on par with my professional Sony Studio monitor headphones. Going to have to find another dedicated headset for gaming as its a shame the mic on these is so poor. Hever ill be keeping them as travel headphones

Sound quality is strong - good base, good mids, generally very clean

Microphone - very poor, people on the phone or gaming couldn't hear me and caused a lot of reverb. Even the playstation audio settings registered it as poor on the highest level.

Such a shame

I love these headphones they are as good as ever. This is the fourth set of Betron that I have owned and having tried other brands at very expensive prices I cannot believe that Betron can produce headphones of such high quality and at such a low price. The noise cancellation is excellent as I work in a city where I am walking around between jobs and it makes the traffic disappear into the background. I can recommend these headphones to everyone and trust me you will not be disappointed .

4.0 out of 5 stars Great earphones for your phone
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 11 October 2016
Colour Name: BlackVerified Purchase
I've used way too many earphones in the past, ones where issues like one ear stops working, sound quality is bad, sound becomes distorted. They've all had their share of dissappointing me.

Granted I should take some responsibility, as soon as I come home I unplug my earphones and dump them on my table, that may be a contributor to the barrage of issues I get. However as the saying goes, you get what you pay for, and the headphones that have failed me have typically been under £15

Generally you want products you can trust, for example I had the same issues with USB cables being the same, I figured, am I just this careless with items? Then I bought an amazon basics branded USB cable and it never happened again. This is what you look for in all accessories, an item that will last the test of time, and not get broken if you throw it on your bed or table when you are done. You want to know that if the cable bends even slightly (as headphones do) it won't cease to work in a month.

Betron never did that for me, my first pair lasted 5 months, the volume control broke and so I stopped using it but the earphones themselves never faltered. Was the volume control my fault? Perhaps; my theory is that the gym bar may have caused pressure on it, for that reason I have to be aware of where the volume control is to avoid that and can only wait.

Onto sound quality: I listen to Pop/Hip Hop mainly on my phone and these do it for me, music creates an awesome amount of energy and these immerse you in it, they come with different sized and shaped earbuds for different preferences and ears, when I put them on the world dissappears and it is just me and music, so that's a great job done.
Note these earphones are primarily for mobile phones, I would not recommend them for PC or Laptops, I would go for headphones!

Style: These are red and black, which to me are my favourite combination of colours, they look cool and the build quality looks solid, you aren't scared that u could snap these with your fingers that's for sure.

Presentation: Earphones can be kept safely in an earphone bag, although I don't personally use it. Hassle free packaging, and a small plastic bag with all the other earbuds.

Value: For the price I honestly cannot fault it, if you're into PC gaming I would compare these to plantronics.

I'm going to give this 4 stars and the main reason for that is that these are my second pair, I will use them more carefully and see how they stand the test of time and if they do it's a solid 5 stars from me.

Great set of earphones for the price. This arrived really fast and was well packaged. I purchased the earphones as my old ones had finally given up so I was looking for something equally as good as my previous and also blocked out the noise on the train I commute to work on the train every day. These definetly do the trick and have a great sound which is a bonus! I would highly recommend purchasing for the price as you won't be let down.

I decided to buy these after spending the evening researching for a new set of earphones. I am not an audiophile by any means but i do like good music. I was aiming to buy a big brand pair from someone like Bose but after reading many reviews i went with these. Excellent product considering the cost. Very happy and would reccomend them. Ive used them to watch The Witcher on netflix and listen to music from Slipknot to Classical. They are great

4.0 out of 5 stars The sound quality is excellent but......
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 26 January 2017
Colour Name: RedVerified Purchase
........ The sound quality is excellent but it will depend on the size of your ear canals. Many reviews given one and two star is because of the problem caused by large size of these earphones. When I first tried them, they felt too big and wished they came with smaller ear buds. I was also making the mistake of pushing them in too hard, in order to get the same seal as with my other earphones, however doing this with my small ear canals, ruined the sound and made them painful to wear. I experimented and eventually found that I should not press them in too much and also need to keep them at a certain angle. This fixed the sound and I was able to enjoy the music as they now sounded excellent - better than my panasonic RP-HJE125E-V Ergo Fit and probably as good as my sennheiser PX100II. You get a very full sound out of them when fitted in your ear correctly, the trebles are great and the bass is amazing on most songs but there are a few songs with a type of bass that sounds mushy.

So once I got them situated correctly in my ears I went for a long walk to test them further. They are very good at sealing most of the road noise BUT, they would not stay in the correct position in my ears so I had to re-adjust them every 100 metres or so. As I said, pushing them in harder was not an option because the sound deteriorated and also hurt my ears. For this reason I reluctantly sent them back.
The track skip for the spotify app is very useful on android (not PC), you just double press the central button to skip the track. However, the buttons are too close together so it is hard knowing which of the three buttons you are pressing. I've skipped tracks when actually I just wanted to change the volume.
Overall, these earphones really do produce excellent sound but you need to have big ear canals to situate them correctly and stay their without hurting your ears.
