I was forced to get a new keyboard when my old one finally gave up the ghost after one too many bits of toast / sesame seed / pistachio fell down between the keys. I'd had it for several years with no problems, to the extent there was a big shiny bit on the Space bar from use.
Having had impeccable performance from Logitech keyboards, I ordered this one, which seems from the model number to be an upgrade to my old one.
Well it's flipping brilliant. Lovely smooth action, nice layout, and some useful upgrades such as the on/off switch on the top of the deck,and a Caps Lock indicator which the old version didn't have. Can't praise it too highly really. A cheap reliable wifi keyboard which starts up with minimal effort.
I am looking forward to many happy years with my new warhorse now that the old one has been put out to pasture... I can see him out in the paddock, his Caps Lock blowing in the wind.
As for the mouse, well what can I say apart from the fact that it worked from the off and it continues to work and I've no doubt it will be a good and faithful companion to the keyboard.

Missing part

I'd love to use the keyboard and mouse, but upon unpacking the box and setting it up, the USB transceiver which sits in the mouse was missing, and without that, nothing was ever going to work. Even worse, I actually came to use it just after the Amazon return period expired. I now have a couple of useless lumps of plastic.

Update!
I was about to throw away the packaging when I noticed the transceiver tucked, in a totally unobvious place, in a bit of the cardboard casing. It should really be in the mouse (where you're suppose to store it when not in use). Heaven knows how many people reporting the transceiver was missing have inadvertantly thrown it away. Rule of thumb with this keyboard/mouse - check _all_ the packaging carefully. This is not a fault of Amazon, rather than poor packing from Logitech!

Very impressed with this set.

Keyboard feel much nicer than i would have expected. Keys have a nice feel to them. Good size, on and off switch on top, media keys above the function keys. Great value for how much it costs. Got 77wpm on 10fastfingers which is the same as i get with my K95 with MX browns.

Mouse is decent. Feels a bit on the smaller size which i'm ok with as i have smaller hands, and makes it more compact overall, but people with larger hands might not like it. It's also rather light, which again could be good or bad. Tracks well.

Both set up very easy. Plugged in the usb dongle and they worked instantly, i thought i'd have to pair them over bluetooth or something.

My main reason for buying this is to have by my TV so i can use my PC easier while not at my desk. I did have a cheap wireless keyboard with touchpad that i used but it was a pain.

Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a cheap wireless kit,

What can you say about these items. If you need them you buy them. I like Logitech as they are good quality without a hefty price. I dislike the flat keyboards & mice on laptops. I've not got a lot of patience for all that up & down, side to side finger movement & the trying to actually to "click" onto an item that you have with laptops so much prefer a proper keyboard & mouse. Also not the sort of person who takes their laptop to bed with them, not into balancing them on my knees. I like my keyboards & mice on a hard surface to use these Logitech items. Obviously don't mind using fingers with my phone or with my iPad. But being a touch typist who learned to type on an old-fashioned sit up & beg Underwood I really do like a proper keyboard & mouse.

Slick, fast mouse, comfortable keyboard

My old Logitech keyboard gave up the ghost after 10 years or more. I didn't know what was wrong pages kept scrolling, desktop icons flashing, you would think it was the mouse. Problem was intermittent. Noticed it was a keyboard problem after I pressed shift to do something and it started scrolling again.
Anyway got this new keyboard and mouse, problem solved.
The keyboard is very comfortable to use, nice large keys, very responsive. The mouse is also nippier than my old logitech mouse, responsive and quick. Obviously easy to install.
Be AWARE, DONT THROW box away, the DONGLE is FIXED TO FLAP OF BOX and is NOT INSIDE THE MOUSE, where there is a slot for it, as normal.
Also some people were worried as name on mouse and keyboard says LOGI and not LOGITECH, I googled and they have merely updated their name, it is still LOGITECH. So genuine.

This Logitech MK270 wireless keyboard and mouse set is an excellent thing. I've tried combo keyboard and mouse sets before and been disappointed by the quality but, as one would expect from Logitech, that's no problem here.

Installation is easy; simply pull the plastic tabs out of the battery compartments in each device (the keyboard and mouse both come installed with Duracell batteries), plug the receiver into a USB port on your PC, turn the keyboard and mouse on using the little swtich on each, and you're away. It took three or four minutes to install the drivers on my W10 laptop (these autoinstalled once the receiver was plugged in), but there was no manual intervention required.

The mouse is a good size, and responsive (whilst not being over-responsive), and the full-size keyboard (complete with number-pad) is satisfyingly chunky, and suitable for touch-typing.

I'm really impressed with this set, and honestly wish I had invested in one sooner. Recommended.

O.k. So my old keyboard was not as fond of coffee and pieces of food as I am. God rest its little plastic soul.
I only needed a basic keyboard as I use the computer for basic tasks and I chose this to 'go wireless' and because I've had no problems with Logitech products.
The thing for me is that I had the items up and running in less than 2 minutes. I say 'I' but I'm exaggerating my involvement.
So, for someone who uses but has no interest in computers and who treats error messages as old friends, IT WAS GREAT.
For any AIs reading this review I 'd like to express my regrets at how I treated my former keyboard.

PSA - the wireless receiver comes lodged into the side of the outer box at one end, it took me a minute to realise it was there! It's a strange place to put it so just be careful you don't chuck it away by accident.

The keyboard is the perfect size and has a nice mechanical feel without being too clunky. There's no lag at all between typing and it appearing on the screen. You can hear the typing but I prefer this. The keys are smooth and sensitive and you don't have to press too hard. I love that there is a number pad to the side. There isn't a light for number lock but there is one for Caps lock! The hot keys are awesome, especially the calculator key and email button which are extremely useful for me. There are separate fn keys to the numbers which is amazing too. Honestly exactly what I was looking for.

The mouse is smaller than my previous one but my hands are quite small so this is fine for me. Feels comfortable.

Powerful wireless connection

My old wireless keyboard was just not capable of connecting fully at over 2 metres resulting in missed keystrokes and garbage spelling. So looked for a better wireless keyboard with good connection at 3m or more so I could sit on the sofa and use my TV screen as a monitor. They all claim to be OK at up to 10m but I was unsure of these claims as many had negative remarks about wireless functionality.
Then I came across the Logitech MK270 keyboard/ mouse combo. It has been around for a few years with several replacements but 10k reviews and at a great price I thought I would take a chance on it.
I plugged in the USB transmitter and the mouse and keyboard worked instantly. If you cant find the transmitter dongle its slotted into a small cutout on the end flap of the outer packaging, easy to miss it. There are no instructions but I believe they can be downloaded from Logitech. On connecting from my usual sofa spot, 3m from my laptop, the keyboard appeared to be well connected with no drop outs or pauses. I moved to my open plan kitchen (aprx 4m away) and still no problems. I then moved to my hallway, (aprx 4m and with a stud wall to pass through, still working well. I then moved to my front door (aprx 5m away with stud wall and corridor to overcome, and still no problem. The final and slightly over the top test was my bedroom and you guessed it, the signal failed (just). So to conclude, the wireless range is excellent within 5m and minimal obstructions. I cant vouch for the 10m claim but who needs 10m. Im not willing to take it outside into my corridor to find out? It all works well within my lounge which is all I need. Put this in a busy office with lots of competing bluetooth and wireless signals and it may struggle. But thats hardly surprising.
Ive written this whole review without a single drop out or missed keystroke, (wish I could say same for my spelling) Oh nearly forgot, the mouse is pretty good too.

Sturdy, responsive, and feels great

I've had this set for six years now, and I use it mostly for the keyboard. The receiver is tiny, so if you were strapped for space you'd have no trouble finding somewhere it won't get in the way. The mouse works well, even if it is a little small (yet somehow bulky) for my liking, but it's okay for travelling. The scroll wheel feels good to use, the buttons are responsive with good tactility, and the sensor works well. I would like to see some function buttons (e.g. for page forward and page backward), but at this price, it's not a deal-breaker for me.

The board has a low profile for ease of storage, but there's enough tactility in the keys; I'm not a fan of chiclet keyboards as showcased in Logitech's more recent wireless offerings, so this fits the bill for me. The keys themselves are responsive, and there are ridges on Caps Lock and Num Lock so you're less likely to hit them by accident. The batteries also seem to last for ages; I hardly ever turn the board off, and it's still going strong after six years. In fact, the only reason I've replaced the board with a new one is because I spilled one drink too many, and it's finally giving up the ghost.

My main gripe with the board is that I would have liked more media keys (namely Skip Back and Skip Forward) and for them to have been placed above the numpad, but again, at this price, I can live without that. The board sits at an 8° angle with the feet out; this feels comfortable for me, but if you prefer a higher angle, you might want to look elsewhere as the feet only provide one setting.

Overall a good price for a responsive and sturdy wireless keyboard and mouse set, with the keyboard in particular being great for everyday use.

I have been buying my computer accessories from this company for years.
I bought this keyboard and mouse combo as I recently bought one of the smallest compact desktop computers on the current market, so I wanted something full sized with no trailing leads around.
The keyboard is light enough to move around if you need to move around your desk if you need to and the mouse is solid enough to stay in place.
The connector is quick when you plug in the dongle into the computer.
This particular keyboard has lights for both capital letters and numbers and that helps with typing!!
This is a value for money set for a PC - I have no hesitation in recommending this company or this particular keyboard and mouse!
