No such thing as Extra Advanced Pain relief paracetamol

I am a retired pharmacy Technician, first things first
1. Size 16 pks and only 2 sold at a time is the law in UK GSL on box ( general sales list)
2. LARGER size packs 32 marked P for pharmacy or POM ( prescription only medication)
3. Up to a Hundred can be bought in a pharmacy with Drs & Pharmacist consent. ie long term chronic pain relief such as the Fybromyalgia and 5 Degerated lower discs I suffer from. (Bought these as I couldn't get out and cheapest)
4. Paracetamol only comes in one strength unless it has another pain killer added to it such as Codiene.
5. Caffiene hardly makes any difference to paracetamol at all. Try taking them plain with a very strong mug coffee, whilst the paracetamol takes away the pain the caffeine makes you feel more awake making you " think" They are stronger.
6. Taking 1- 2 paracetamol every 4-6 HRS IN 24 HRS, regularly is only way to keep pain at bay when needed.
7. ALWAYS CONSULT DOCTOR BEFORE STARTING ANY NEW MEDICATION EVEN PARACETAMOL AS IT'S VERY EASY TO OVERDOSE ON THESE TABLETS EVEN BY ONE.

Amazon has just set the minimum quantity of this to 6. Amazon also enforces a maximum of 2 paracetamol products per week sent to a single address. This means that it is now impossible to order this from Amazon, since an order for the minimum quantity of 6 will always be rejected.

As for the product itself, it's fine. It's paracetamol, and it does what paracetamol does.

I struggle to swollow tablets and capsules so inhave to rely on soluable medications.

Since my local major brand supermarket has decided to no longer sell this and ONLY sell the caffeine ones, I found it very hard to find any that I could take especially before I go to bed at night.

The Downside is here on amazon they do cost more then retail stores, however it's not dramatically increase of cost, and all the places I can get to, especially during lockdown, no longer sell these.

I do wish they were cheaper overall as compared to tablets at 89p this cost well over £3.50 and do the same thing. Feels like disabled people are being taxed for not being able to swollow normal tablets.

They relieve pain... I guess that’s the point. They are the same as normal paracetamol really and you can definitely get own brand cheaper from boots or a pharmacy and have the same effect. Basically what you’re paying for here is the packaging (which is really nice if quite wasteful) and the branding. Which also is really nice.... but... at the end of the day you’re looking for pain relief not a branded experience. I’d say if you have the option or if these are on a great offer then go for the cheapest option. It’s paracetamol at the end of the day...

I am house bound, so during this pandemic Amazon has been a lifesaver for me to order anything I need. I have been ordering 2 packs of these tablets, you can buy 2 packs weekly. I have been trying to order them for nearly a week and I can’t purchase them due to the minimum order being 6 packs. In the Uk you can only get a maximum of 2 packs of painkillers at a time. I hope that the minimum quantity is reduced, back to what it was. As no customers can purchase them.

I usually take the cheapest supermarket own brand ones but had to buy this from Amazon in an emergency. Now I'm so impressed with them, I'll always buy them. They work from the moment I drink it down and are really effective for my headaches. I thought paracetamol is paracetamol no matter which brand you buy, but somehow these outperform even the supermarket cheap ones that don't dissolve as well. These ones dissolve so well, there's no powder remnants left at the bottom of the glass, and the water also tastes very carbonated.

Have been buying Panadol soluble for a long time now but last order put in for two of these as though smaller packaging were same colour but found they were the large tablets which I can’t swallow. And soluble work so much quicker and only one that gives slight relief to PHN ( post hermetic neuralgia ) that you get after having shingles at late age ( told permanent now) you can’t return medical things so will give to neighbour as they are good. But if you don’t like swallowing tablets soluble are better get in system quucker(& have been told ok to take two or three doses day I have for last 5 years as shingles pain is awful. I never knew about shingles vaccination which I advise everyone to get if you have ever had chicken pox ( they are linked) and believe me shingles pain is excruichiating)

I cannot take pills - just can't swallow them, so I am always on the look out for good soluble products. These are great. Don't be over-eager when waiting for them to dissolve - let them do their thing and they become a palatable solution, like drinking fizzy water. They kick in quickly and last for hours on everything from joint pain to period cramps. I always try to make sure I have a box in the cupboard.

I was unfortunate enough to catch covid 😷🤒
It was really nasty. Because we all had covid and couldn’t easily get supplies so I resorted to Amazon. It’s disappointing that I couldn’t get bog standard paracetamol so had to get these. Bit of a waste of money in the ‘innovative design’. Would rather halve a normal box. Personally I couldn’t tolerate the caffeine in it. Made me feel really sick. For a standard cold it might have been ok but for covid I really struggled. I’ve given them a wide berth ever since and refuse to take them
