Bought this to try and prevent my elderly cat from using the toilet where there is no litter tray. The reviews are decent so I thought I’d give it a try.

Unfortunately this doesn’t really help solve the problem. It covers the odour well and leaves a nice smell but upon inspection with a UV torch, hasn’t actually eaten away at the stain - it remains as prominent as before spraying it.

To conclude - it’ll get rid of the smell (or at least to your nose) but maybe not to your feline’s nose, and doesn’t seem to get rid of the stain even after following instructions.

The price point is good though, so I might persist with it for a short while before switching over to a different product.

Oh thank god for this stuff. Over the last 4 years I've been using it intermittently when the cat has been traumatised ( house move, surgery etc) and started to pee on the bed and leather sofa.
I saturated the mattress with it, washed the linen and duvet with it ( prewash) and cleaned the leather sofa with it. Stops the cat repeating the crime. Previously I'd just washed everything and used inferior products and the cat reoffended, but not with this stuff. Oh, and it smells quit lovely too.

Either this is cat wee scented or it’s just encouraging the cats to pee more, or it’s drawing out the cat wee smell and exacerbating it! It’s got a fresh, quite strong, heady smell on first use but a few hours later the place smells 10 times worse! I can’t find any new wee patches so can only presume this smells like wee after a few hours! Is that how it works?? Make it smell like a lion has peed in here to deter the cat from doing it?? Or is the product inviting every cat in the neighbourhood in?? Either way it’s awful! Also I bought it for hard wood and tiled floors and to spray on areas the cat has been and there’s no instructions for use anywhere expect carpets. Have tried it diluted in a spray or with a mop and at its full concentration but I can’t stand the smell any more. When it’s fresh it’s a bit headachey, when it’s old either it’s attracting the cats more, drawing out the smell more or turns into a cat wee smell, either way it’s not for me.

New kittens took a while to get used to aiming properly at the cat trays. I found this at Pets at Home originally, but it was very expensive - much cheaper here on Amazon.

The liquid contains strong enzymes which genuinely remove cat wee/poo stains and odours and prevent them from soiling in the same place repeatedly. To use, you remove the cat's 'gift' to you, and blot the worst of any liquid away. Then saturate the area, following the clear instructions on the bottle. Leave for 20 mins, then blot again. The stain should be gone (even from cream carpet), and the tell-tale odour that animals can smell and which tells them that this place is their toilet, will be gone. The first couple of times, I noticed the bottle allows you to pour a lot of liquid on very quickly, so to avoid waste, I poured some into a clean, empty spray bottle (which I marked with the product name to avoid any nasty accidents or confusion). Using the spray is much more economical and precise so a large bottle lasts a lot longer.

I also use this as a final treatment on the cat litter trays when I give them their weekly full clean out. It helps to avoid any long-term build up of odour that only the animal can smell, and that no amount of anti-bacterial or bleach spray can remove.

A very effective product which is a blessing in a multi-animal household.

The liquid smells quite pleasant, and hasn't had any noticeable detrimental effect on our 80% wool carpets. I've been recommending this to every pet owner I've met.

Much cheaper than the shops

Cheaper than getting it in the shops and cheaper than replacing your carpet/ sofa etc. I had a cat came in that was adopted, nightmare feline peeing on everything. He had 2 litter trays and still peed on everything, EVERYTHING. I brought a couple big ones of these, soaked rugs, curtains, bags, shoes, floors, sofa and it got rid of the smell. There is one curtain that still has a slight faint smell. It's an expensive curtain so I am going to buy another one of these and soak the whole curtain in this stuff ina tub. I have always loved simple solutions. It is non toxic for a start and the smell is quite pleasant. You just need to make sure you soak whatever area you are treating properly and leave it to dry. If it is clothing, shoes, sofa, carpet etc, saturate the area and a bit beyond and leave it to air dry. For the first day you will smell the simple solutions, it is a stong but pleasant smell and over a few days it will die down. If it is a hard floor, dry up what you can with tissues, then pour this into a empty spray bottle (get from shiops for plant misting or use a cleaned out old cleaning bottle) and spray all over floor to saturate area. leave to dry, do not mop or go over with another chemical. Leave it for at least a few days. the enzymes in this need time to eat the bacteria for it to work properly

Gets rid of the smell really well

Bought a blue light torch & a gallon of this after my naughty cat decided to start peeing in the house. This does a great job of neutralising the smell. I wasn't shy with it so used more than was probably necessary but it does say you need to soak the area completely. If you have a pet problem too I highly recommend this brand. (I haven't tried others however I just read all the reviews before purchase and wasn't disappointed)

This says its for cats but it has exactly the same ingredients as the dog stain and odour remover and worked just as well for my dogs. When I bought this it was an Amazon deal of the day so was slightly cheaper than the one for dogs. I think it is currently more expensive than the dog version even though the only difference is the label.
Overall it worked well and got the puppy wee stains and odours out of my carpet without any issues. You wouldn't even know he had had an accident.

Had zero effect on a rug . I read the reviews before I bought it and now I wish I’d believed the negative reviews only . I used the whole bottle on one small rug for one area of pee and it did nothing . The smell of anything got worse and the rug was ruined . I won’t be buying again or recommending this product to anyone. I really can’t understand how it got so many stars ?? It doesn’t smell of anything really so I don’t see how so many people are saying it smells so lovely??
All I could smell was an even stronger smell of urine way worse than before I used the product . Quite unbearable actually.
Didn’t work on hard floors either . The cat went straight back and peed on the area that had been treated!

We haves used this brand for a while now. One of the main reasons for trying it was it costs half the price of "Urine Off". It works just as well leaving a pleasant fresh smell. It doesn't necessarily stop the cat from returning to the same area to spray but then neither did Urine Off; as cats are creatures of habit when marking their territory I think it would be unreasonable to expect this anyway.

The main thing is it helps to remove and minimise that pungent odour of cat urine. We use it either straight from the bottle onto a cloth or decant into a spray bottle (save and reuse an empty one). It works well on a suede chair without staining or damaging the leather (check a small area first out of sight, to be on the safe side)! This 4 litre size lasts on average about two months used every other day or so.
