Absolute Bargain! Clearwater CH0041 5 kg Multifunction Chlorine Tablets

Absolute Bargain! I purchased these for £39.82 for a 5KG tub which consists of 250 chlorine tablets.

Lay-Z-Spa sell a 1KG tub for £19.99 which is only for 50 chlorine tablets, so for 250 tablets it would've cost me £99.95 but it only cost me £39.82 which works out at about £7.96 per 50 tablets. Absolute bargain if you ask me...

These tablets are authentic and do a great job keeping my hot tub chemical levels correct. This tub will last me a very long time as I only tend to use 2 tablets per week.

I don't understand some reviews showing incorrect contents arriving and personally must say that this is not the case for me and that what arrived is what I ordered.

I'm very satisfied with my purchase and highly recommend for hot tub users.

Contents NOT what is displayed on label!

Ordered 2 packs a few months ago...the first pack was fine; worked & lasted as well as expected. The contents of the 2nd tub however didn’t smell of chlorine, didn’t treat the water in our hot tub, dissolved in a matter of hours & my daughter developed several patches of red, sore skin after bathing in the water that 2 of the tablets had dissolved in!...In the process of sending them for analysis to find out what they actually contain.

When contacted, the seller ‘Denny Enterprise’ sent a very non committal, dismissive response so will definitely not be buying products from them in the future & would recommend others give them a miss too!

I have a 10ft fast set pool, I made my own floating dispenser. I add 3 tablets at once when they have fully dissolved I repeat and so on. No green/slime etc water stays fresh and smells like a proper swim pool does. It takes a while until it’s settled as they dissolve slowly.

Everything is ok nobody has had any unwanted effects everybody’s happy.

3 years on still alive pool is ok. About 2 weeks before I am ready to put the pool up I have a large gallon container which I put 3 of these tablets in with water. Once I have filled the pool I pour in the water from the container into the pool catching the tablets and putting them in the floatation device. It really give a good head start for the pool. 😎

Okay, you have a spa or pool. What now?

Well you had better make sure that the chemical levels are correct or you will either end up with instead of bottle blonde hair, green flowing locks or a terrible infection from under dosed water.

And these little sticks will keep you on the straight and narrow. Simply dip in the water daily and compare to the colour chart on the side of the storage container. A few seconds later you know what the condition of your pool is.

Unless it's already green and full of gunk, in which case best you empty and clean it... Likewise if you get up in the morning and find the area surrounding your spa covered with dead small animals and birds, you've probably been a bit heavy on the chlorine. Best you avoid the area for a bit.

Overall, simple, easy and idiot proof.

After some research I decided to put 2 tablets in my LayZSpa Miami ChemConnect dispenser today after draining and refilling it (800 litres) and within around 2hrs my spa was at the perfect chlorine strength using the dip test strips and is ready to use. May drop down to 1 tablet next time once these 2 have dissolved as it will have had its loading dose and see how that goes. But already far easier to use than mixing up the granulated chlorine and trying to get it right using that mixture. Must use a dispenser though, don’t add them just to the spa water directly!

Will not use anything else now I have tried these, hot tub water is crystal clear and have only needed to add a little PH increaser once a week due to living a soft water area. Each tablet last approx. 5 days in my 1000L hot tub. Set dispenser to lowest setting and the chlorine level is maintained with no problems. As per a previous review and instructions on item, just ensure chlorine levels are correct before using otherwise you may need to wait awhile for the tablet to dissolve and chlorine level to rise.

These tablets make keeping the levels in a lazy spa a breeze. Simply pop one in to a holder every few days and forget about the chlorine levels in your spa. It has an adjustable setting so you can adjust the amount of chlorine released depending on the size of the spa. I have the saint tropez and a setting of 2 bars seems to the keep the levels right in the middle of the ideal level and the tablets generally last 3 days with daily use of the spa.

Anyone who has a hot tub or pool knows already its far from easy to keep the water correctly balanced and healthy to use.. Many related products on Amazon are worse than useless, as let's be honest, they sell anything and everything.
'Clearwater' consistently provides the best solutions, I've had other chemicals from them too. These tabs are simply the best out there. We have a small 650 litre tub. 1 tab a week in a floating dispenser works, 2 for the 1st week. Also recommended the 'PH reducer' and 'Foam preventer' from same company. Get some test sticks too to check your levels. Change filter weekly and you're sorted. (we have 3 and wash/rotate them). Hope this helps.

These work really well in our hot tub , we use granules to shock boost the levels on first fill up then control the levels with these tablets in a floating dispenser, the only issue we had was my own fault last summer as I did not keep a close enough eye on the levels and I let the levels of chlorine drop , my daughter and wife developed a rash the kept them out of the tub for a few days , I will not be that lax again .
