This is a life changer.. I've suffered with seb derm for around 20years now and I've always been flared up, I don't think I've gone a week without dry, flakey, sore red face.. I've used the typical nizoral and smothered my face in hydrocortisone cream, salt water washes, but I noticed it just spread even more over the years, until it pretty much covered my whole face. I saw online that people were addicted to using steroid creams because when it's bad we are desperate but I noticed my skin ageing quicker then it should. THEN, I came across seb Clair!! So i read reviews online that some people's disappeared almost instantly and it was disheartening after a week to not see much change but omg am I glad I carried on, on around day 9 I woke up and almost all of it had calmed down, day 11 it had completely gone!! It's never gone completely before, not even with steroids. Now this is my 1st Amazon review and I am so pleased I came across this. Please please please don't be hesitant to buy this product, it's literally changed my whole face 😍

Mixed feelings

So I’m pretty torn over this product - my SD is on my eyelids and brow bone, around my eyes and temples and on both sides of my neck near my ears. I’ve been using this for the past week and I can pretty confidently say that it is only making my eyelids/eye area worse. It stings like hell to apply to them, and the redness/scaliness/stinging/itchiness has increased a lot. However, it has not done this to my temples, which seem to be looking mildly better. Also important to note that I’m using it in conjunction with/after I use a ketoconazole cream, so the improvement there could be from that. I couldn’t work out why it was making my eyelids so bad, but on looking at the ingredients a little closer, one of the first listed and therefore predominant ingredients is Shea butter - this is basically dinner for the Malassezia yeast that causes/contributes to SD. I imagine the skin around my eyes is far too delicate to be able to withstand the increase in Malassezia that the shea butter (amongst other questionable ingredients in there) is causing. Fatty acids such as linoleic acid found in Shea butter, ethylhexyl palmitate and ricinoleic acid (castor oil) which are all included as ingredients in this have carbon chain numbers that the yeast loves and thrives off, so I’m not massively surprised that it’s making the more delicate areas of skin worse. Gutted that I didn’t research all ingredients before I bought it. Glad it works for some people though.

I'm sure after reading the mixed reviews you may be slightly confused and im here to help. With skincare, we are all different and one thing that works for me might not work for somebody else. I would recommend trying this to see if it works and if not try something else. We can only try to find a solution that works and hope for the best and hopefully this particular one will be the one that does.

So I regularly get dry, red flaky skin around my T zone area (around my nose and brows) but also on my forehead and chin at times. It can be really unpredictable and can flare up which can be embarrassing and frustrating especially when trying to make your self look presentable. I've used steroid creams, softening creams, e-45, eczema creams and even experimented with different skincare routines with a number of different face washes, masks and moisturizers but nothing worked to clear it all away.

The cream is an off white colour without any fragrance and spreads really easily. Its a nice consistency so Its not too runny it goes all over and its not too hard to spread either. It can look quite greasy when applied for a while so I would recommend to wash your face first and apply every night as it might make it a bit more red and visible in the morning if you need to go somewhere. For me after over a week of use it has improved my flaky skin but the redness still remains, it has helped to improve it and my skin around that area feels softer and less dry but still red but maybe this is another issue. This did work for me in a way but it did not do it all overnight, it takes a good skincare routine and time.

My recommendations
- Make sure water isnt too hot when washing your face, it might do more harm than good
- Only apply to affected areas, can make normal skin worse and red
- Use quite a bit when applying, helps it to spread easier and I found thin layers didnt do much
- If your skin is quite red only wash and use cream on your face at night before bed. wash your face first with a good quality fragrance free face wash, apply cream, moisturise the rest of your face and go to bed. By the morning it will be less red and in good condition. (simple micular cleansing water is what I use)

Amazing for seb derm / redness

Have rosacea and seb derm and this is the only thing I've found to make any real difference. Have been using it for a month, and the seb derm is pretty much gone and the rosacea (which was bright red on my cheeks and nose) has gone from my nose and faded to light pink cheeks which are actually quite cute. My skin is all soft. Of course some of the redness might have been seb derm and not rosacea (so not sure whether or not it does work on rosacea).
This seems to work quickly for some people, but recommend persevering even if you think it's not working for you. For the first four or five days of using this cream my skin was much worse - it felt tight and a bit burny and my spots and redness got worse. But after a few days it all cleared up.
Sometimes I soak my face in the bath until it's soft and rub it with my fingers gently, but I never scrub it any more. It's very happy just with the cream. I use it twice a day and sometimes three or four times if my skin needs a bit more. It feels greasy when you put it on but it soaks in in a minute and then it's fine.

I have been diagnosed with seborrheic dermatitis and have been using daktacort ointment every few days to keep it under control which has worked flawlessly, but being a steroidal formula I wanted to try something ‘clean’. After reading the reviews I decided to try this Sebclair cream. It does work quite well and keeps the skin quite moisturised, but my dermatitis came back after a couple of week of using this solely. So now I use my hydrocortisone cream once every fortnight and use the Sebclair cream daily, and for the past couple of months is has been working great.
The packaging has all the information and advisories needed before use and is very informative, the tube is of great quality and has a brilliant small nozzle for precise application. Overall I’m happy with the product.

Having been prescribed Nizoral shampoo from my doctor to use like a cream which actually felt very uncomfortable on my face with a burning sensation I decided to see what I could find on the net. My seborrhieic dermatitis had flared up round my nose and forehead and was quite unsightly . After only 3 applications of sebclair cream it was virtually unnoticeable . It's easy to apply and rubs into the affected area easily and you don't need much either. I would 100% recommend this product to anyone who suffers the same affliction and if required I would have no hesitation in buying again

I recently saw a consultant dermatologist after years of struggling with what I now know is seborrheic dermatitis, having tried all kinds of stuff over the years. She recommended using Nizoral shampoo both on my scalp as a face wash on alternate days for a week, then switching to Daktacort for a week after that. I'm aware of the risks of ongoing steroid use and have found them ineffective in the past, so instead I found this online after a bit of poking around and decided to try it first.

I did use the Nizoral as instructed for a week, but skipped the Daktacort and when straight to this instead. I've been applying it twice a day to the affected areas for over 3 weeks now and my skin has never been better. The redness is gone, my nose no longer slightly puffed up and the scaling has gone with it. Fantastic, can't recommend it enough. Worth every penny. Will update this if the situation deteriorates.

Seborrhoeic dermatitis

I had a little seborrhoeic dermatitis on the side of my nose. I knew nothing about SD and I thought it was dry skin. It wasn't until I started getting red blotches on my face that I went to the doctors. The Dr said it SD and gave me some hydrocortisone/steroid cream. It would bring my face up way worse and made my skin angry red. I wasn't sure what to do but thought if it works then this must be worth it. Cut a long story short steroid cream is horrible for your face. Looking for an alternative I gave this cream a go. My expectations were low as things like this never seem to work. For a few days nothing happened. In fact if anything it it made it ever so slightly worse. But after around a week my skin was so much better and in 2 weeks my skin looked practically normal. I now use it every other day or so on my problem areas and it keeps it at bay. The sides of my nose never look 100% normal but we'll enough other people wouldn't notice it. And my face is perfectly clear. I only apply a very thin layer in the morning and at night. And on hot days, when I'm likely to sweat in the day I won't use it until the evening when it's cooled down. The redness has been gone since Iver been using this (around 2 years) and I'm only on my second tube with loads left. It goes a long way and I don't need to put much on. Just a small dot on each cheek and a little more on the side of my nose. Ps for a daily moisturiser I use Cerave. It's good for SD and without it I get slightly flaky skin. As a 43 year old male I never expected to have a beauty regime. But needs must. I don't usually write such long reviews but it was horrible for me and my hope is this helps someone else out. My skin is good enough that nobody could notice I suffer with Seborrhoeic dermatitis. And if I get a bit that starts to vote up red I just pay extra attention and apply the cream 2 or the times a day until it settles again. Don't give up on the cream for atleast a month. Be diligent and hopefully it works for you as well as it has foe me.

After trying what seemingly felt like everything recommended on the market for my problem skin (scaly, flaky and dry, especially around the nose, forehead, brows, chin and around mouth), ai stumbled across a review on this from an independent skin problem website.

I'm not going to beat around the bush. This cream is easy to apply, non greasy, spreads fairly well and works amazingly for me. It's reduced the redness and virtually eliminated all my scaly and flaky areas around my face. I honestly thought nothing would work for me as my skin seems to sensitive and temperamental even with well reviewed products for my type.

The only niggles I have with the product are the price and the volume you can buy. The price is a little high for what you get in my opinion but it works so well that I wish there was a bigger tube that could be purchased.

If you've not had much luck with other creams and have similar problems to what I listed, give this a try.

Cleared up seb derm within a week

Beside myself as my face felt as if it was on fire, i like most with seb derm have tried a million different moisturisers etc. Some work a bit temporarily but eventually i always end up having to switch. I have a good skin care regime but nothing ever seems to tackle my sore forehead, eyebrows and sides of nose (and a little bit on my chin) it is most noticable when want to wear foundation as it tends to highlight my flakey skin and often just causes me to be wipe it off being red faced rather than have flake excentuated skin! Anyways i must have been moaning alot as my skin was really painful so my husband found this cream and ordered it, i did not hold out alot of hope, but my god... Its amazing, its sort of a creamy clay, but not in a heavy way, i have been using it twice a day and i genuinely dont think my skin has ever been better. My only complaint is how pleased my husband is with himself about it as a find 😂

Dry skin relief

I have patches of dry itchy skin on my forehead and neck, menopausal issue. I apply this at night and morning onto the problematic areas. It's creamy and hydrating with practically fragrance free which I like and wanted. I do wish companies selling skincare would list the ingredients in plain English, I have not got a chemistry qualification so thank goodness for Google. I found Beeswax, Shea, Vitamin E, Blueberries, tomato, alongside anti-irritants and anti-inflammatory. Not completely natural but I could find nothing harmful. I've been using it for a few weeks now and although my skin is not cured I'm no worse plus it's not irritating and really nourishing, I'm managing to using my steroid cream less. I'm going to continue to use it as I believe it's helping, I also think the price is good for what it is. I also like that is comes in a metal tube so is easier to recycle.
