Lifelong asthmatic, serious allergies and eczema. I came across these a very long time ago and they are BRILLIANT!

I like these because I can take them and I know they are going to work, bang! Therefore I don't need to take 2 antihistamine tablets every day of the year, as I was in my late twenties - almost 20+ years ago. Thought to myself this is not a good long term solution. I can put up with little discomfort, and take these to stop any serious inflammation of airways/skin progressing too far.

My 13 year old daughter is allergic to cats. She can go to a friends sleepover and I know that she can take these and everything will be absolutely fine - no runny nose or eyes, no wheezing or skin rashes/ inflammation.

PS I have never been drowsy with these, even when participating in a few alcoholic drinks.

These tablets had no effect on my condition. I suffer from allergic rhinitis and have been taking Benadryl Allergy for a while now, so I was pleasantly surprised to find the low price on Amazon (half the RRP). But I suppose there's a reason why they are priced so low - they don't work. I got myself the same ones from a supermarket later on as my condition worsened... And voila! I have even replicated the results with repeated experimenting with the ones I got from Amazon - these do not work. Get them from a pharmacy/supermarket

Works brilliant against hayfever and general stuffiness

Everyone is different. What works for one person may not work for another.

But for me - this is the only tablet that works for hayfever and general allergies.

I take one first thing in the morning and it does me for the day. I sometimes take a second if it's really bad, but normally I can get away with one.

It's great if I take it early to nip things in the bud. If I forget, and allergies kick off... then it's too late and taking one is less effective. So it's best when taking routinely before trouble occurs.

Loratadine and all the rest do nothing. This is great. It gives me a life. Thank you.

The only thing thay works for me

The only thing that works for me (I'm a grass pollen sufferer).

This is a totally different drug to that used in Benadryl one a day.

Acrivastine is a third-generation anti-histamine, still under patent, so you wont find any other products that use this.

I find it incredibly effective when I take it two times a day (morning and mid-afternoon)

The very first time you use it in the hayfever season, it takes a few days to build up in your system and for your swelling / sensitivity to subside. After that you just maintain the routine and should feel pretty normal.

I understand it can be quite bad for your stomach lining if taken very long term or in excess. I take probiotic supplements too (home made kefir and yoghurt) which i find helps my hayfever naturally.

I also stay completely off alcohol from May to end of July.

Nothing else works for me (and yes I have tried the lot!)

My life was a nightmare before I discovered these, I'm allergic to dust, pollen, cats etc and could get some bad days when I couldn't stop sneezing or my face a nose were so itchy they would be burning but as soon as I start to feel uncomfortable I take one of these and with 20 mins the symptoms have gone. I take 3 a day everyday and dont find they make me drowsy and don't seem to have any side effects. Great price from Amazon.

Have very bad hayfever normally and these are a game changer. However refuse to pay stupid prices in a pharmacy. Got these on offer for £3.33 each which couldn't be beaten anywhere else. Very impressed so bought multiple packs. Definately worth a try. We take with big standard Tesco/B&M own brand cetirizine (80p - £1 per 30tabs), but check with your GP before combining different meds together. Hope you find this helpful x

Having previously used generic allergy tablets for my pet allergy, I thought I'd try benadryl out of interest. Have to say, I'm a convert and now use these exclusively.

For me, the main plus of these tablets is how fast acting they are - basically, I can take one of these when turning up at a house with pets, and will have no problems. Also, they just seem more effective (for me) than the other drugs (loratadine/cetirizne) even when I take those in advance.

The price on amazon recently has also been fantastic! I struggle to find these on the high street for less than £6 for 12 - so sub-£3 for 12 (or sub £6 for the 24 pack) is really excellent and justifies buying these for me.

Tried everything I could possibly think of over the years and nothing has provided as much relief as Benadryl. Yes, it's annoying having to pop one every few hours but it acts fast and stopped me from sneezing all night and wanting to scratch my eyes out!

It's a tried and test process! Benadryl works best for me but doesn't work for my brother - he swears by fexofenadine which gets rid of his all his symptoms. Ciritizine and loratadine doesn't help either of us!

It's worth trialing a few different ones and seeing what works for you.

The tablets which I’ve been using over the last few years to clear up my hay fever suddenly stopped working this year. After consulting a doctor they suggested I may have built up a tolerance and to just try a new one. I can’t say if these pill are any better than a similar one with similar ingredients but for me it was suddenly like I didn’t have hay fever anymore. They do stop working after pretty much exactly 8 hours so be prepared to take a couple a day.
