Quality product and the paper sticks are just as good

I've used this brand for all of my adult life and recently I've seen a lot of people getting upset about the plastic stick being replaced with paper, but I really can't understand why that's the case. Now I understand ithis argument with straws as paper straws just simply aren't as good as plastic straws unfortunately, but there really is no issue here on cotton buds. I've been through several packs of the new type and not one has the paper element been an issue in any way for me - they aren't too flimsy at all and in no way prone to bending any more than the plastics ones were.

Maybe other people are using them in a way I don't understand but for me these are still great - there's plenty of cheap alternatives but, like with baked beans, this is one area where I feel going to an established brand is the best bet. I've used Johnson's Baby Cotton Buds for something like 30 years or more now, and I'll stick with them forever I think as the quality is always fantastic. Some of the cheap supermarket alternatives have been terrible, with the cotton head detaching, the stick bending etc. Pay a little more for the quality here, it's worth it.

No to paper substitutes

No no no! You can save the planet sure in fact charge me more and I will plant some trees but don’t swap the plastic sticks to paper. As if sucking my Diet Coke through a napkin at Mc Donald’s wasn’t enough now I have cotton buds that bend by just looking at them. I tell you next I will be forced to use chopsticks to eat a carvery. 😢

I get saving the planet With putting the cotton buds in a Box 📦 But putting them on a Card stick instead of the stems they used to be on 😳Big Mistake Because They Not only Bend But the Cotton wool on the end Comes off 🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ I don’t know what to suggest to use instead of a card stick but you really need to Go Back to the Drawing Board because as they stand right now are utter Garbage 🤦🏻‍♀️I have added photo’s I can not Believe you passed these cotton buds as Fit For Purpose wouldn’t be so bad if it was the odd one but as shown it’s far more and out of a Box of 200 it’s appalling, at least 18 cotton buds were just a stick either without the cotton buds either end or just the cotton bud one end and not the other 🤯🤦🏻‍♀️

Clearly I didn’t get what was listed, I thought I was getting the circle container,
Anyway to add earbuds are also neatly placed when brand new and this box looks used with them all over the place and doesn’t look full to be 200 as stated.
Okay I paid £0.90 on the offer and they are usable I guess.
It’s just not impressive receiving an item in this condition and not like the photo or other photos in reviews as a matter of fact.

Couldn't use these due to unhygienic box

So the item itself is great. Always used these. However, they now come in a little cardboard box which is brilliant for the recycling. However, the seal is just a perforation and if damaged, they're not hygienic. Big shame as mine had been unperferated, maybe by storage at the suppliers 😔. Is unperferated even a word 🤔 but you know what I mean !!

They used to be so good and the best in the market, but now it bent everytime I use it, so I need to use about 10 of them just to clean 1 ear instead of using one to clean 2 ears, we know it's done for the "environment" but you should at least have made the sticks from hard cardboard. Or you could've made it from degradable plastic that decomposes, well you are a big company you should've invested in a good quality and sturdy sticks. 👎 👎

I bought these because the description said plastic. I expected the stems to be the old-style plastic ones. I know they are trying to phase out plastic for a good reason but the paper replacements are useless. Have a go at companies that wrap everything in plastic first. I will not be returning them because that would be more environmental waste.

I totally get the need to end single use plastics. Things however now are getting ridiculous. You can't enjoy your milkshake through a paper straw. These cotton buds now are worse than useless. They bend in halve almost immediately rendering them useless. So basically Johnson's are now no better than others at a fraction of the price.

im having to use four of these buds instead of one the cotton comes off easy.I'm worried in case I cause harm when using them as you can not feel the cotton there is the most minimum cotton possible on this iv been using them for years no other brands available so.I will have to try to eco ones I would much rather pay extra and have the old ones back
