BY FAR the best breast pads and must-have for first few weeks with a newborn

I ordered these breast pads when I was pregnant as they had such great reviews and as a first-time mum, I had no idea which ones are good or bad. Now after using these breast pads as well as other versions (I wanted to see if I can find cheaper ones that are equally nice), I have to admit that the Lansinoh ones are by far my favourites. I also tried Boots (the absolute worst), Tesco (ok) and NUK (too small) but none compared to these.

PROS
- They stick super well to the bra as they have two sticky patches (unlike all the other ones I tried which only had one)
- They are super big and absorbent, so no leakage
- They don't get torn ripped after fiddling around with the bra all day (the ones from Boots always ripped apart)
- The plastic they are all individually wrapped in is recyclable, so big thumbs up for that!
- They are super soft and comfortable

CONS
- A bit more expensive than other ones (try to buy them when they are discounted)

All in all, I'd definitely recommend these breast pads. Even though I think they are amazing, I might try out the reusable ones from Lansinoh as my boobs don't leak as much anymore and it just seems a bit more environmentally friendly. But for those first weeks of having a newborn, these were absolutely perfect and hassle-free.

I have ordered these numerous times and they have always been individually wrapped in blue Plastic bags. In this box (which has foreign writing all over so assume was not manufactured for UK) they are in wafer thin paper like packaging and just banded together. Pads also appear different. Not great.

After my emergency c section I popped some of these on after my shower and due to being highly medicated I didn’t realise you needed to unwrap these and unfold them etc, I had them like two little tea bags in my bra 😂 After a week of using them I finally realised something was up and looked on the box… however once I did use them correctly they were amazing and worked well.

Best breast pads and I've tried a few

My main tip for any new mum who is planning to breastfeed is to not skimp on cheap breast pads.
These pads may be the most expensive on the market but there is a good reason why. They have two stickers to hold them in place (most other brands have one) and they have great absorbency. Having tried other brands which have moved over night and need replacing more regularly I would alway recommend Lansinoh pads.
They recommend changing after every feed. I found this not to be completely necessary once I have developed a routine to feeding and my let down was more controlled. I would just check if they were wet after the feed and only change when necessary. This keeps the cost down as if you were changing 8 times a day one box would only last 7.5 days. Please don't waste money on other brands these are the best by far.

I have used Lanisoh pads for two years now and never had any issues. Until this purchase. They have new and improved slapped all over the box and a blue patch in the centre of the pad. Utterly useless. I usually buy in bulk - fortunately not on this occasion. I have leaked through these pads more in the last two weeks than in the previous two years and my four month olds feeding patterns haven't changed. They move around more at night too. Suddenly I appreciate not smelling of milk with the old lads. Complete let down. Won't be purchasing again unless I can find the old pads.

I have a very forceful letdown, still at 12 weeks! I have used these breast pads since day one and, having used ones from Boots in the meantime (and they are not cheaper!), I must say Lansinoh breast pads are really good. I only have myself to compare to, and I thought they weren't good enough because I leak so much but comparing to other brands, these are certainly superior. With the Boots ones, they get soaked very quickly and my breast is actually WET when I want to feed the baby, which is not good. In fact, they proper leaked through my clothes the other day. With the Lansinoh ones, even if they were very full indeed, I always felt relatively dry and they never leaked. Would highly recommend!

after waking up with a breast pads stuck to my forehead and back and feet because they had fallen out overnight, these were a total revelation. slim but absorbent and they stick to your bra/top genius! a friend gave me some after I had already bought and used some cheapy ones - and now they are a standard babyshower gift for all the new mums I know so they don't have to wake up with little lumpy breast-pads stuck to random body parts after a tough night of feeding. TMI...but its breast pads and these were game changing for me...so there you go. Must haves is potentially a bit OTT but I would definitely recommend them.

Got these for beginning and to attempt to stsy dry during oversupply. I didn't like the blue inner circle to start, they had changed it from white a few years ago. Feels like sanitary towels with the blue! But it does help when they get all twisted up inside and you don't know which side is which. They do soak up a lot and when I go out, I am confident I will stay dry if they are in the right place and I put them on right before going out to make sure they are/stay in the right place. Otherwise, this product will not alleviate all problems with wetness- especially when feeding or when positions change, or when sticky backing erodes or they get tangled up throughout the day, but paired with a muslin cloth and remembering to reclapse put back after feeds, they do help a lot. Best used with Debenhams nursing bras that have an inner support so when you unhook, there still is something there. I have used with padded, non padded, and those nursing undershirts. I think they stay better in padded ones.

These are by far the best breast pads you can buy. I am now breast feeding my 3rd child.

With my first I tried all the different brands but these are really great at staying in place and absorbing milk. I have large breasts and I found with others they'd move into a different position in my bra. These stay put! With my 3rd child I tried some washable ones to try to save money/ the environment but within a couple of days I was sore and it's really not worth that pain!

Buy these to pack in your hospital bag. With a new born I was wearing these in my bra in the day and a fresh pair in the night. My daughter is now nearly 2 years old and I can just wear these in the day and nothing at night now. When I returned to work these were such a life saver- I have never leaked with these. Recently I questioned if I still even needed them, but yes I do and wow- these really do absorb a lot without me realising!

Once on a camp site I went for a shower and when I got out I realised I hadn't taken a towel with me. All I had was a pair of these pads! I kid you not I had to use these to dry my entire body. I really wouldn't recommend it, but it did work.

Great comfort. Great absorbency. Never leak. Ordering on Amazing is fantastic as they're usually on offer and arrive the very next day. Happy breast feeding!

As a breastfeeding mum with an oversupply problem I have tried every breast pad I could find on the market and these are definitely top of the list.

The pads are extremely absorbent without feeling wet (very important in trying to avoid thrush). They have a large liquid capacity and 2 strong sticky pads which hold them in place well.

I have only rated them 4 stars as they could do with being a bit bigger for those of us with a larger chest as whilst the pads stay in place we don’t necessarily creating leaking through other parts of the bra. Also, while I understand the need for hygiene, particularly when keeping spares in your bag, it does feel somewhat wasteful for them all to be individually wrapped in plastic. You also have to be paranoid about throwing the wrappers away as they would definitely be a choking hazard for babies and small children.
