Absolutely loved this from the first page. Really well written and a gripping story! Would definitely recommend if you want a thrilling page turned that will keep you on the edge of your seat

Was excited to buy this following the reviews and recommendations. Sorry to be negative but this was poor. Neither scary nor exciting. Poor character development and ridiculous plot. Save your money.

Lemme first say that I love this cover and I really wanted to love this book. The premise sounds great, just my cuppa tea, but unfortunately the execution was lacking! Too many characters as well and I really did not care about them or even remembered who was who - I found it really hard to read!

Seems like there’s a lot of bots to bolster the rating for this book… The author spent way too much time trying to establish backgrounds for the 14+ characters, and not enough time creating an every atmosphere given the setting and plot.

With as much time that’s spent trying to make you sympathize with the “contestants”, I still just didn’t care. It was so slow, and the overall pace had me struggling to turn page. The ending wasn’t worth trudging through the 236 pages.

If you’re a horror fan who actually want your book to be horrifying then skip this one. Unless you’re an insomniac who needs help falling asleep.

I think White's publishing team did her a great disservice and marketed this wrong. I've read multiple books from her and think she's a great writer. If it had been marketed as YA, I probably would have enjoyed it more. For an Adult Horror, this was missing the graphic content I expect for an adult audience. No gore, no chills, very little thrills and it's set in a freaking amusement park! Do yourself a favor and check out Cirque Berserk instead.

The cover and the amazing endpages saved this one from being pitched. It is a beautiful book!

The constant changing character narration was hard to follow… and it made it hard to really care about any of the characters. Gave an extra star because of the setting of the book is a cool idea but the follow through of the actual story was highly disappointing.
