Good romance well written

I like the story here and the characterisation. Well written, nicely paced and interesting. I read this after reading It Ends With Us as I really enjoyed that and wanted to read more by the author. However……and I appreciate I may be in the minority here but - it had too much sex in it! I felt that the sex actually took over from the story in parts - and the story was good enough. I like sex scenes in books like the next person but it got a bit “boring” in the end. I could just read erotic books or porn for that lol! I understand it was to show the difference in their “relationship” to lead to why but was overdone. Really want to read more by the author - but with less sex!

I love this book (I’ve read it on kindle) but I’ve been holding off buying it until I could get the American cover. I thought I’d hit lucky when I placed this order but unfortunately I wasn’t sent the cover they’re advertising, I was sent the horrible UK version. I would never have bought it if it had the correct image.

My star rating reflects the service/advertising, the book itself is a 4 star read for me.

I haven’t read the book yet but that is solely the reason it is getting 2 stars! I’ve just got the book today and when I took it out the packaging the first thing I noticed was how battered it was. It looks like it’s been squashed every way possible! I got another book in this parcel which was completely fine but this one looks as if it will fall apart at any second!

The story is so sad to read. The happy ending is the only thing that is happy, the protagonist is tortured by his past, unable to enjoy the present most of the book. Do not read with out a box of tissues on stand by.
So much of the book happens inside the heroes heads, the readers are almost feed what they should be filling.
If you are looking for alpha male to read about, then this not it...

This book was okay in NY opinion, quite annoyingly reparative with the scenes (which got SO BORING) there was also a constant mention of sex which was quite sickening.
It was a casual easy read which was nice, but hardly anything to it, would not recommend it, certainly regret paying for it and WASTING MY TIME!

I honestly don’t know where to start with this one. It would have turned out to be a nice love story but instead it put forward the message that women are happy to be used as sexual objects. I found Tate (who is a nurse) to be very annoying and lacking in dignity and personality. She agrees to having a physical relationship with Miles (a pilot) knowing that the guy is messed up and stuck in the past over his ex girlfriend Rachel! I couldn’t stand the fact that she was happy with being used as a toy! No sympathy for this woman! Miles is a complete loser and there were times that I wanted to smack him with this book! Absolutely no respect for women whatsoever! Would not recommend this book for the hard feminist out there!

Not as good as hoped

The story was good in the beginning, especially with the flashback chapters which were very well written. However, the story and the “romance” between Miles and Tate felt very rushed and abrupt. Miles was a toxic character and was continually emotionally abusive towards Tate and his past should not excuse his actions. He never even apologised for how badly he treated her and then all is forgiven in the end with a very rushed ‘happily ever after’ ? Tate deserved so much better than that. Expected more as some of Colleens other books are my favourites.
