Perfect for learning theory

I’m an official approved driving instructor and keep text books in my tuition cars to use when explaining some points to students. So I purchased this, to initially have a look at it and then if I approved, use it with students. It was a good decision. An excellent publication giving excellent introductions to the syllabus subjects, test questions and answers followed by a good simple to understand explantation of why the answer selected is correct. Designed not for students to learn ‘parrot fashion’ but designed to assist students knowledge and understanding as well. There are various ways to study for the theory test and there are a few great online sites, but if it’s a text book your after, I don’t believe you’ll do better than investing in this one!

Some contradictory information

The book is well formatted and contains information and questions. However, some of the information needs to be clearer because the way it is written contradicts itself. For example on one page it says a vehicle driving at 70mph uses 15% more fuel than a vehicle driving at 50mph and then on another page it says it’s 30%.

Encouraging my son to learn to drive after lockdown. So would be a good starting point for him to study the theory during the lockdown period. He is half way through the book and he really like the book for the fact that its colourful and self-explanatory. I suggest to use the app and video click from QR code as well as reading to test you knowledge with the multiple choice to gain understanding. My son did find that this book had some useful info at the beginning of each session that app didn't cover. The book is more expensive than app but its an investment and is a driving bible.Can re-sell it or leave it on your bookshelf as reference. Highly recommended.

Excellent book for theory test. Questions are very similar to the real test, which helps a lot. Good explanation as well! Basically if you finish all the questions on the book, you should pass the multiple choice section straight away.

Only took 2 days to be delivered, has everything you would need to revise for your theory. Has 100s of questions and tick boxes, can leave notes on it, I thought it was easier than most phone apps. I recommend this book.

Have never read driving booklet or done the theory or practical test but the book helps me a lot. Even though it’s my first time learning something about driving, it’s very easy to understand. Also the sections inside the book makes it much easier to find the right pages, also the tips and remembering signs helps you to cover the subject up better. Highly recommended.

This book arrived on time and in good condition. I knew what I was getting when I purchased the product. It has got all the information and sections needed to study in order to pass the Theory test. The cover and all the pages are in colour. There is intros to read for each section you are starting to learn along with questions with multiple answers and the answers to these questions can be found near the back of the book.

...get the app. I hated the app and I just wanted a physical book, so bought this - I failed. I got the app after a lot of pressure from family and I passed easily. The app asks the questions the same way the test will. If you do the questions enough you'll learn the answers. App - 10/10. Sadly the book doesn't get you to pass.

You just need this like the old -school way to PASS. Apps and digital versions are all gimmicks. Just the hazard perception part is good through the FREE app. Done the job and will be passed down to next learner in the family (with my revision notes and random doodling lol).
