How customer reviews and ratings work
Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings, help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.

I got these screen protectors at reduced price from Amazon Warehouse, which were described in 'As New' condition.I've bought other things from Amazon Warehouse before (and will again!) without a problem, but these were a disaster.1) The items were in resealed packaging as expected, but 1 of the 2 screen protectors had already been used. It had a fold in it, the protectives film had already been removed exposing the sticky surface that was covered in crud + hand prints, and had a fold / bend in it as per photo. This was only fit for the bin. Obviously somebody had bought this set, tried one and realised how rubbish it was, returned it for refund, and it was sold on again 'As New' without checking the contents.2) Undeterred, for the discounted price paid I decide to go ahead and apply the 2nd (unused) screen protector to my brand-new (spotlessly clean) Fire HD 8. I've applied loads of screen protectors to other tablets & phones, but this was easily the worst as it somehow went on with loads of air buttles + dust underneath. Totally unusable after a couple of tries to sort it out, it followed the other one into the bin.Don't waste your money on this flexible plastic junk. Get one of the laminated glass screen protectors instead. I've ordered mine so am just waiting for them to arrive now.Why didn't I just return it? Well I actually logged it as "Didn't Match Description", and Amazon began return process. For the £4 paid, it wasn't worth the hassle, and I didn't want some other unsuspecting soul suffering the same fate if it went straight back into stock for sale again without anyone checking it first.

Good screen protector but be extremely careful if you decide to use the dust absorber sticker.

This review is for the NuPro Clear Screen Protector for Amazon Fire HD 8 tablet | 10th generation (2020 release). This screen protector is one of the 'additional items' that are recommended when you look at the new Amazon Fire HD 8 tablet | 10th generation (2020 release).
I have only had the protector for a couple of days so what follows are my initial impressions. It is reasonably simply to apply this screen protector if you take your time and follow the instructions. Fortunately, the pack contains two screen protectors so you have a spare one in case you run into any difficulties when applying it. However, there are a couple of things I think are worth mentioning:
(1). I would caution against using the dust absorber that is also provided in the pack. It is extremely sticky and I found it not only absorbed the dust it also stuck to the screen with only the minimum of pressure being applied. When I 'unpeeled' it, it left a sticky residue on the screen which I had to use a separate cloth to carefully wipe (i.e. scrape) off while trying not to damage the screen.
(2) I anticipate the protector will provide protection against scratches (etc) but after just two days use I've noticed that fingerprints / smudges are already evident. Now I should say my views on this are biased as with previous tablets (and mobile phones) I have owned I have always used tempered glass screen protectors that I found are easier to apply (& with no risk of bubbles appearing) compared to this protector ... and glass protectors seem to not show as many fingerprint smudges. However on this occasion, I went with the recommended additional product advertised on the Amazon Fire page.
So while it is too early to say how this protector will stand the test of time, and putting aside the incident with the dust absorber, this protector is a good fit for the new Amazon Fire HD 8 tablet | 10th generation (2020 release) and does not dull the clarity of the screen picture in any way (finger smudges not withstanding).

I am so used to the glass screen protectors that I put on phones that I just expected these to be the same. But they are not! They are nothing more than clear, sticky plastic and the fit is so tight that you are going to end up with bubbles forming at least along one edge . I can't believe that they are charging £12.99 for this rubbish. Proper glass screen protectors are actually cheaper than this junk!!! These are not going to protect the screen from a drop or knock. The screen WILL break. It might protect the screen from a scratch but that is all. I am very disappointed and I will be looking to buy a replacement glass type of protector as soon as I can afford it. Come on Amazon - this was recommended when I bought the tablet - stop recommending rubbish with a high profit markup and recommend something that will actually do the job!! I would return this if I could, but I used both sticky backed plastic sheets trying to get them to fit right. The case you recommended with this rubbish is also not fit for purpose and that IS being returned. I spent over £30 on accessories recommended by you - nearly as much as the Tablet cost, and you have let me down in a major way, making what should have been a happy bargain into a horribly irritating affair I've been a prime member for many years, since before you offered streaming services and I have never had such a shockingly awful experience. Please sort it out Amazon. You have my phone number!

This was awful. The cleaning cloth was microscopic, the dust remover sticky pads left marks on the screen that I had to rub off forcefully using the microscopic cloth. The protector itself was so close to the size of the screen that I could get neither to avoid the slight raised ridge round the device and threw them away.
If you want your brand new, shiny piece of kit to look awful I recommend these. I'm off to get a proper glass one!

Really not worth the money and I'm a bit miffed that this is the recommended item to add to your order when buying the fire tablet. Even on the second attempt, there are bubbles round the edge which means it keeps peeling up. Was hoping this would be covered by the edges of the case, but no. So now I'm down £13 and buying a cheaper replacement in the hopes it's a better fit.
