They do not run just on light! They require batteries. See my photos of the two I purchased, you can clearly see the battery area. I also included a picture of the battery area closed and the edge of the stand as that shows the really bad quality cheap plastic of the stand.
They will only rotate for a few seconds in extremely strong direct sunlight, then they stop. A cloud passed and they stopped moving! Light, even normal daylight or any other light source will not rotate these. On top of this after you put a battery in they cannot be turned off, so that means you will use a battery each day just to keep it running, and that gets very expensive.
It is disappointing to find that in fact they are clear plastic with just a badly painted bottom of the disc, again see the photos attached. So there is no solid colour and in fact most of it is clear and not coloured at all.
As well as this the rotating one does not hold a tealight, you can see this from the photos I've attached that the middle of the 'lotus' is a solid ball of plastic. No tealight space at all.
They rattle and buzz and then just stop, neither rotates at all now. Poor product and badly made with cheap plastic.
