Supporting documents to verify your Amazon Business account on amazon.co.uk

During the Amazon Business account verification process, we may ask for additional documentation regarding your business.

Once you have submitted a registration request to Amazon Business, we will attempt to verify your business credentials within 72 hours.

If we cannot verify your credentials, you may receive an email or phone call from Amazon Business requesting additional information or documents, which you can upload to https://www.amazon.co.uk/business/register/org/status.

Acceptable documents for Amazon Business account verification on amazon.co.uk

ONE of the following official documents containing your business’ name:

  • Business or professional licence
  • Copy of incorporation from Companies House
  • VAT registration certificate. A screenshot of your online copy is acceptable.
  • Business invoice that clearly shows the business name and address
  • Certificate from a trade organisation or affiliated professional society

If you are a sole trader or self-employed, you may provide:

  • The first page of your self-employment (short) tax form or tax return filing, which is different from your individual tax return.
  • Any document from HMRC that shows your UTR, such as a notice to file a return, payment reminder etc. If you are registered for self-assessment, you can also find your UTR in your personal tax account.
  • A recent bank statement that shows your business name and address if you use a dedicated bank account for your business.

Acceptable documents for Amazon Business individual verification on amazon.co.uk

ONE of the following documents from your employer, which confirms your employment:

  • A letter confirming employment. If possible, printed on company letterhead and including a company stamp. If the legal name of the business differs from the trade name, include both names.
  • A copy of a business card and a company ID card or badge
  • Any other company-issued document that shows your name and the business name.
Important: We recommend that you strike out any sensitive information in the documents that you provide, such as bank account numbers and transactions etc.
