Verify Your Email for a New Account

We may ask that you verify ownership of your email address before creating a new account.


If you think you already have an account, we recommend using that account. If you're having trouble signing in, select Forgot your password? on the sign-in screen.

If you create a new account with an email already associated with an Amazon account, the existing account will be disabled. You won't be able to access order history, gift certificates, digital purchases, Kindle books, or any other data associated with the existing account.

If you want to create a new account using an email address already associated with an existing Amazon account, be sure that you can access that email. We'll send the verification email to this address.

To verify your email address when creating a new account:

  1. Select the link in the verification email.
    This email is sent automatically after you attempt to create the new account.
  2. Follow the on-screen instructions.
Note: If you don't receive our verification email, do the following:
  • Confirm that you entered your email address correctly .
  • Check if the email is in your spam or junk folder.
