The Healthcare Purchasing & Disclosure Policy

Professional-Medical Devices; Applicable Professional Use Policy.

You may purchase professional use medical devices or medical devices that would be provided to a patient under prescription so long as you have all Credentials required by Amazon, which includes licenses provided under applicable laws and regulations. If you (or the patient you provided under subscription) seek reimbursement for purchases you make under the national or other healthcare system, you are responsible for complying with all applicable laws, regulations, rules, guidelines, and reporting requirements, including the following:

  • You are responsible for accurately reporting or disclosing any discounts or rebates to the appropriate healthcare agencies (including to appropriate regulators, employers and professional bodies as applicable).
  • You may have reporting obligations to regulators or other bodies if items included in your order summary are subject to a later rebate.
  • In preparing any documentation for reporting or disclosure, you are responsible for the accuracy of such documents.
  • You should not include as a discount, for cost-reporting purposes, the value of any item that is designated as a sample, unless required to do so by the applicable law or other obligations that are binding on you. You should not seek reimbursement for such items.

By making a purchase of professional use medical devices or medical devices that would be prescribed to patients, you confirm that you are authorised to make such purchase and the medical devices will only be used by healthcare professionals who are appropriately qualified, licensed, trained and experienced.

Information on discounts is available on the "Review your order" page at the time of purchase. You can also access the amount paid for each product by using Amazon Business Analytics reports. You can access these reports by selecting "Business Analytics" from the Account for Business dropdown menu. In the report, the "Item Net Total" column displays the price paid for all units of a particular product (inclusive of any discount and sales tax). For any given product, to calculate the net price paid per unit, you can divide the Item Net Total by the number of units purchased.
