Getting Started with Amazon Fresh and Third Party Merchants on Amazon
Amazon Same-Day Grocery enables Prime customers to order from a wide selection of fresh produce, meats, seafood, dairy, frozen items, and household essentials from the Amazon Fresh and Third Party Merchants on Amazon selections. Prime members can place their Amazon Fresh and Third Party Merchants on Amazon orders directly on Amazon.co.uk, making grocery and other shopping one seamless experience. Simply select either the Fresh, or Third Party Merchant logo next to Shop By Department or by the search bar.
Getting Started
Non-Prime members who wish to shop at the Amazon Fresh or Third Party Merchant on Amazon store need to become Prime members to get started with their first order. Customers who are new to Same-Day Grocery delivery may need to request an invitation at www.amazon.co.uk/groceries .
There, you'll see links to Past Purchases, Shopping Lists, and Orders. Prime members using a mobile browser or the Amazon app can access the same features through the following:
- Mobile Browser: Click on the Amazon Fresh, or Third Party Merchant [HE3] on Amazon link by the search bar.
- Amazon App: Click on the menu button at the top left of the app and select Amazon Fresh, or Third Party Merchant on Amazon.
Important: Amazon Fresh and Third Party Merchants on Amazon are not available on the Amazon App for Tablets.
Note:
- Shopping Amazon Fresh and Third Party Merchants on Amazon.co.uk is available for selected eligible postcodes across the UK. Amazon Fresh offers scheduled delivery in 1-hour and 2-hour windows with a minimum order of £15, subject to local variations and availability, Monday to Sunday. Shopping from Third Party Merchants on Amazon is only available in 2-hour delivery windows. 1 Hour Delivery is currently only available at select locations for Third Party Merchants on Amazon. To find out if your postcode is located in an area eligible for 1-hour and 2-hour delivery windows, visit www.amazon.co.uk/groceries for Amazon Fresh and Third Party Merchants on Amazon.
- You can place orders one hour before the delivery window starts for same-day and next-day delivery. Once you've completed the checkout process, you can't update your delivery slot or your delivery address, or remove items from your order. You do however, have the option to cancel your order.
- During high demand times, there might be queues or an invitation list. Please see www.amazon.co.uk/groceries for more information.
Attended Delivery
Choose a delivery window when someone will be available at your delivery address to receive your order.
Unattended Delivery
Orders that do not contain chilled, frozen or age restricted products and are below the value of £500 are eligible for unattended delivery. Unattended deliveries are currently only offered through Amazon Fresh.
About Age Restricted Delivery
By placing an order for one of these items you are declaring that you are 18 years of age or over. These items must be used responsibly and appropriately.
Delivery of age-restricted items can only be delivered to the address on the shipping label, but this can include the reception of a commercial building.
We take our responsibility in relation to the sale of age-restricted items extremely seriously. To confirm the recipient is over 18 years, valid photographic ID with a date of birth may be required upon delivery. The driver will input your year of birth into their device and may then require an ID check to complete the age verification process. Delivery to a neighbour, nominated safe place location, a locker or Pickup Point is not available for these items. If the recipient is not over the age of 18 and has not been able to show valid photo identification, the item will be returned to Amazon.
If your order is being delivered to a commercial address or residential apartment block, the receptionist, concierge or mail room attendant receiving your parcel will need to confirm they are over 18 years, valid photographic ID with a date of birth may be required upon delivery.

List of acceptable photo identification:
- A passport
- A European Union (photocard) driving licence
- Ministry of Defence Form 90 ( a defence identity card issued to serving military)
- National Identity card issued by European Union Member State (other than the United Kingdom), and Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein or Switzerland
- A biometric immigration document (issued by The Home Office to individuals going through different stages of the immigration process as a residence permit)
- A photographic identity card bearing a national Proof of Age Standard Scheme (PASS) hologram
- A concessionary bus pass (issued by a local authority in the United Kingdom)
