About purchase order (PO) numbers
Business users can enter PO numbers during checkout to help track and reference their orders.
- Administrators can set PO numbers to required or optional during checkout.
- Depending on your carrier, the PO number may display on the dispatch label or delivery note.
- If you place an order with a third-party seller, your PO number may or may not display in various locations.
- PO number entries may include any combination of letters and/or numbers, cost centre, category, location etc.
- The PO number displays in Amazon Business Analytics reports.
Note: To ensure that the PO number displays on the dispatch label, enter it in the deliver to field during checkout. The Amazon Corporate Credit Line allows you to enter up to 20 characters in deliver to. A corporate payment card or purchase card allows up to 17 characters in deliver to.
