Please know that closing the account is a permanent action. Once the account is closed all of the products and services accessed through that account will no longer be available across any Amazon sites globally. To continue with closing the account, please attach a certified copy of the death certificate to an e-mail and forward it, along with the email address of the account being closed, to email@example.com. This is required to ensure that we take action on the correct account, and account information is only provided to authorised persons.
If you require any other support with your loved one's account, further verification may be required to ensure that you are authorised to act on behalf of the deceased. We may ask you to provide certain documentation, such as an Executor of Will or a Court Order.
