I love the Hairy Bikers and was excitedly awaiting this book, but was so disappointed. The recipes aren’t anything I haven’t seen in many other places, some of the advice at the beginning of the book seems a little strange to me, suggesting that eating only 800 calories a day for 2 months is a good thing!. Also the amount of ingredients in some recipes is ridiculous (24 in one), which means trying to eat and cook healthily on a budget is very difficult.
As is usual with these great guys I’m sure the food is delicious, but for me the book just isn’t up to their usual standard.
