How do I use Membership Rewards points to pay for an order?
If you want to use your Membership Rewards points to pay for part or all of your purchase, you'll need to proceed to the checkout through your Shopping Basket. When you select your payment method for the purchase, you can choose the value of points you wish to apply. Points applying to your order will be displayed under Use Membership Rewards points next to Payment Method. If points are not applying to your order, click "Apply" under Use Membership Rewards points to use your available points.
I have enough Membership Rewards points to pay for my order. Why do I have to specify the Card linked to my Membership Rewards Account in my order?
Orders paid for using Membership Rewards points must also include the Card associated to the Membership Rewards Account from which the points are applied. The Card does not need to be charged, but in the event you choose an action that increases the cost of your order, such as upgrading shipping, the Card will be charged.
I don't have enough Membership Rewards points to pay for my order. How can I pay for the rest of my order?
You may use the Card from which your Membership Rewards points are applied, Amazon.co.uk gift cards or Amazon Payments Stored Value to pay for the rest of your order.
May I apply promotional coupons to orders in which I use Shop with Points to pay?
Yes, you may apply any eligible promotional coupons to orders paid using Membership Rewards points.
Can I use Membership Rewards points toward my Amazon.co.uk purchase over the phone?
No. You can only use Membership Rewards points towards purchases online at Amazon.co.uk.
Can I combine points from multiple reward programmes to pay for my order?
Rewards from multiple reward programmes cannot currently be aggregated to pay for a single order. You may register multiple reward programmes at Amazon.co.uk; however, reward points purchases will be paired with the Card associated with the reward programme. Reward points may also be combined with Amazon.co.uk gift cards.
I have a gift card or stored value available in my Amazon.co.uk account. How will this be applied with Membership Rewards points?
Amazon applies the Membership Rewards points that you requested to use and that American Express approved for use, then the gift card or stored value amount, and then any remaining balance to the Card linked to your Membership Rewards Account.
Will I receive confirmation of the number of Membership Rewards points debited from my American Express Card Account?
American Express will debit the number of points that you elected to redeem for your purchase from your Membership Rewards Account and a confirmation email will be sent to you. This confirmation email will prompt you log in to American Express Online Services where you will be able to view your updated Membership Rewards balance. To ensure you receive the email confirmation of the number of points debited from your account, please provide American Express with an up-to-date email address. Simply clickhere to log in or register for American Express Online Services and to update your email address.
Why can I no longer see my available Membership Rewards points at checkout?
To ensure you are still enrolled in Shop with Points, go to the Your Account page and the Shop with Points link. You can view any enrolled rewards programme accounts and see your Membership Rewards points balance. If you do not see your Membership Rewards Account, you may either try to register your Card and your Membership Rewards Account again or contact American Express using the number on the back of your Card to discuss your Account status.
When Membership Rewards points are applied to your Order Total, you'll see them before you place your order. If you don't see Membership Rewards points, click the "Apply" button in the 'Use Membership Rewards points' box to use your available points.
