The problem... The problem with all of the controllers I tested was related to the LB and RB buttons. Where 50% of the time you pressed (once) either LB or RB the controller would send the input twice. From testing I've found the "2nd" input is sent when you release the button which makes me think its a hardware problem and not software. Now, this might not be so noticeable on some games but on others can make them unplayable. I tested the controllers on both Xbox and PC each with different games and all had the same issue. I'm not sure if Amazon just got a bad batch or if this is more widespread.
This defect is strange because it seems to gradually get worse, when I got my 2nd and 3rd controllers the issue was non-existent on the first day. Yet by day 2 and 3 the issue was starting to get a lot worse. My guess would be this issue is fairly widespread, people just haven't noticed it. Who knows
Asked for a replacement one, this arrived today, took it out the box and low and behold, it has another faulty A button....
Rang amazon to sort it was told they won't send a return again i had to get a refund and order it again at full price, asked to speak to a manager and arranged a return with them.
Now I have 2 broken controllers i need to return and await a 3rd to arrive, if this one is broken ill never be ordering another one of these, ill get my refund and go elsewhere.
For a premium price controller youd expect premium manufacturing.
Edit: 3rd controller arrives, a button fine! Get home... right stick drifting

First off this controller is the one you must get. The advantage you can get against others in online gaming is pretty noticeable (considering that you know what you're doing).
In terms of build quality it looks like it has been improved a lot compared to the first gen. This Elite series 2 it is way different and sturdy compared to the first one.
Those rubberized grips all over the body makes a lot more comfortable. The paddles have been shortened and the access to them when you hold the pad is good. The internal battery and the USB type C port makes it the definitive version of an Xbox One controller. You can use it both on Xbox One and Windows 10 PC.
To sum up: it is an absolute gem of a pad and it could be expensive, but if you're into online only games it is the one you don't want to miss. Only downside is the price, other than that is magnificent.

Unfortunately mine came with a faulty a button where it's really soft and feels half pressed in all the time. Makes it kind of hard to press at times, and impossible to press as rapidly as you can with a non faulty button. This is actually really off putting and annoying even though it's a very small thing. Might try and get a replacement but still annoying because of the hassle. Plus the fact it literally came defective in the first place.
On the latest firmware and it still randomly disconnects from Bluetooth on my PC - something my bluetooth headphones manage not to do, or indeed any other bluetooth gamepad I use.
It also slips around in my palms - quite bizarre considering the coverage of the "grips".
To top it off the QC has gone awry in the one I received, as you can see from the picture, the right hand grip has not been moulded to the underside properly leaving this edge that feels quite sharp.
Sending mine back i'm afraid, will persevere with the old elite for the moment and hopefully Microsoft will sort these issues out in the next batch.
