Thank you so much for landing on my book page!
I hope you will love what you find here. At the heart of all my novels is friendship, the kind of relationships between women (and sometimes men) that bonds them together in the good times and in the bad. My characters sometimes experience the worst of life – betrayal, broken relationships, illness, bereavement, heartbreak – but my stories are always about how they overcome those challenges with great friends, the kind who lift you up, tell you brutal truths and make you laugh, even in the moments when there isn’t much to smile about. They capture the very best things about being part of a friendship group or family that isn’t perfect but manages to survive heartaches and come out wiser, stronger and more sure than ever that the people who love them are on their side.
And always, they’re full of real laughter, real tears and real life.

This book is a roller coaster of emotions. I cried when they went to New York. I laughed out loud more than once (on a bus. That got me some funny looks!).
This is a lovely book. Shari Low writes in such a flowing style that the time shifts where in all the right places and the book flowed seamlessly over the last 20 years. The story of the friends is picked up at the end of Carly's marriage nearly 20 years after the start. Carly's life is still a muddle but she's changed into the wife and mother her family need rather the impulsive Carly of the first book. The same supporting cast of crazy Aunt Val and Carly's cold unsupportive mother is expanded to the husband's and children of the 5 girls. The various locations make the perfect backdrop. I think I'd definitely like a stay at Sam's 'house'
At, hopefully, the end of lockdown having not seen my girl circle properly it's possible that's why I got so emotional but I'd still thoroughly recommend this book to everyone.
Full of wit, humour, awesome one-liners, love, loss, mortification! (I didn’t know that was a word before this)!
A truly talented writer, Shari Low makes her characters relatable and so very likeable. I felt like I was sitting around the kitchen island with them, I felt like one of the girls in that wonderful group ,which, those of us who have been blessed with once in a lifetime friendships, can easily feel part of
I have been on such an awesome journey with these characters, I’m really going to miss them!
Thank you Shari, for helping me to fall in love with my kindle again! I’m off to find more of your books and decide which to read next....
It’s 20 years later and Carly Cooper is back. At first glance it seems she’s more settled and has grown up a lot but appearances can be deceiving.
Found I loved Carly (Cooper to her friends) more in this book. Deals with an interesting set of circumstances through the supporting characters. The end seemed quite natural and a lot less rushed than the previous novel and all loose ends tied up nicely.
Can be read as a stand alone novel or alongside What If?
Personally I felt this novel was a much better read. Would recommend.
This book is definitely one of my outstanding ones the character's are always brilliantly described, please do the third book
By far my favourite author I cannot wait for the next book
