As far as I can tell, the poor bear did not do anything to justify being hounded. This so-called family should start to respect the personal rights of bears. You know, GDPR and all that. How would they feel if a family of bears went and followed them home and started running through rivers and grass and such.

Disgraceful really.

But you know, these people have probably never had a decent bowl of porridge in their lives.

Good classic text, beautiful illustrations.
But I don’t see a point in this Snowglobe Gift Book edition. The cover is different, but the rest just usual book. I think it’s just overpriced marketing. I would buy a board book instead. Although my 21 months old was interested only in the cover and pictures for now.

I brought this book used describes as in very good condition. In reality some one page was thrown out, inside the were handwritings.

We're Going on a Bear Hunt is a delightful tale of an adventure-seeking family.
On their way to catch the bear they find a number of obstacles (long wavy grass, squelchy mud, dark forest, swirling snow storm and dark gloomy cave) and they can’t “Go over It, Can’t go under it, Oh NO! they got to go through it“. Finally, the family reached to the cave where they find the bear, they got scared and ran back home, which wasn’t even easy as they had to face all those obstacles again.
The book can also be sung like a song and children just love it as well.

I don't get this book. Decent amount of onomatopoeia when they squelch through mud and stuff. But why are they hunting a bear? Seems cruel. Also if they are hunting a bear then why do they (spoiler alert) run away when they find one? The book seems to promote not following through on your plans or cowardice, 2 things I resent in my partner and certainly don't want to encourage in my child. I only bought it because we bought our baby a going on a bear hunt sleeping bag from ASDA. Wish I'd bought the Winnie the Pooh one now. Got to be brave to wear a t-shirt and nothing else.

Wonderful children’s classic

I’m a reception class teacher and this is one of my favourite children’s books to read to my class. The illustrations are beautiful, the text is simply written and perfect to sing along to. The repetitive language is appealing for small children and the noisy words to describe the family’s movement through the different settings are easy for children to remember. It’s one of those classic books that every child should read, enjoy and role play. Perfect for classrooms, bedtime stories and sharing with a little one.

I bought this after seeing the animation version of the story on TV and I was reminded just how lovely and fun the story is. My daughter loves hearing the splishy, sploshy, and the squelch, squeeze in the story. I’m in the process of making a story sack for the book to engage her further. It’s a fun story and one that will continue to be loved for years to come.

Snow globe is not a pop out book as well

I paid a bit more the the snow globe edition as it showed the story pages as pop out as well. However they have just used the internal pictures of the pop out edition on this cover as the internal book for the snow globe is just ordinary story pages. It's still a lovely story and the snow globe is nice but if I'd known I'd have opted for the pop out edition.
