This is a perfect beach or picnic mat if you want compact, the silver back will insulate and provides a waterproof coating. There’s corner straps to use with the tent pegs provided. It’s a large size - 2 metres by 1.65 metres (6.56 foot by 5.4 foot) but fits neatly inside it’s little pouch, along with the fixing pegs. It folded back away easily so it’s not one of those items you struggle to fit back into its cover. It’s also very lightweight and easy to clean.
We actually wanted this to use inside our gazebo on the lawn so we’re really pleased with it. We needed something lightweight, easy to clean and put away after use and this ticks all the boxes for us. We have lots of bird feeders, tables, baths and squirrel feeders around our garden which has become a bit of a wildlife sanctuary over the last 3 years. It means we don’t want to be walking barefoot or sitting directly on the grass and heavy duty ground sheets would be too much hassle to keep clean if left down. It’s also handy to have something you can travel with when needed to. The last picnic blanket my husband bought was £30, and it didn’t clean up very well, so this is good value and we can used something else on top of it if we want.
