I have bought this for my boy who is 9 years old. Initially I was really impressed with the quality of the product as well as with what is trying to deliver. However, I think this could be a lot better. The project manual could be improved quite easily in two aspects:
1. There are quite a few spelling mistakes which is very annoying considering this is targeted at children
2. Building the electrical circuits is very easy - so that's a plus. However, it is a huge let down the fact that, there is no theoretical knowledge provided
In support of the 2nd issue above, just wanted to give some examples.
Occasionally, questions are asked for children to answer. This doesn't make sense since no theoretical support is being given. Are the children suppose to guess?? Yes of course, they could go online and find out; but that's not the point. The information available online is vast and more focused information could've been provided along with each project.
Overall, I think it provides easy projects for children to attempt, though unfortunately there is little pedagogical value since children don't really understand why and how it works.
