Imagine a pulsating miniature jet wash and that’s essentially what this product is. My gums felt different than just brushing afterwards and there was no bleeding. It’s a strange sensation, one which you get used to. If you try to open you mouth and see where you are flossing you will wet yourself and everything within 1 metre so it’s best to just guide the flosser round your teeth with your mouth closed. I do it in the shower to avoid mess.
My gums have always been problematic and although I brush twice a day I am too lazy to floss everyday and not a fan of the feeling. This makes it fun. I was concerned about one review which said it dislodged a veneer as I have four. I’ve had no problems so far, although I do hold it slightly further away from them on soft setting. I also have a temporary filling whilst waiting for tooth extraction which I was told to clean around the gum line better, flossing was impossible and this water flosser has had no negative effect on the temp filling.
Time will tell if my dentist notices an improvement. My gums definitely feel different afterwards but it sure it a lot more fun than regular flossing.
