A tree’s memory is long. Magic’s memory is longer, and far more dangerous.
Finn doesn’t know what—or who—uprooted her from her peaceful tree form, changing her into this clumsy, disconnected human body. All she knows is she is cold and alone until Àed, a kindly old conjurer, takes her in.
By the warmth of Àed’s hearth fire, vague memories from her distant past flash across her mind, sparking a restless desire to find out who she is and what powerful magic held her in thrall for over a century.
As Finn takes to the road, she and Àed accumulate a ragtag band of traveling companions. Historians, scholars, thieves in disguise, and Iseult, a mercenary of few words whose silent stare seems to pierce through all of Finn’s defenses.
The dangers encountered unleash a wild magic Finn never knew she possessed, but dark forces are gathering, hunting for Finn and the memories locked away in her mind. Before it’s over, she will discover which poses the greater danger: the bounty on her head, or a memory that could cost her everything.
Tree of Ages is the first book in a complete Epic Fantasy series. If you love Celtic Lore, Druidic Magic, and Epic Adventure, you’ll love the dangerously enchanting world of Tree of Ages.

Will Finn survive everything that is thrown her way? That remains to be seen as I dive headlong into the next book!
Am I intrigued enough to read the next book? I think so, but we shall see.
The history and developments hinted at are excellent and the blurb got me hooked enough to buy it. But I wanted more magic action or learning from the story. It’s lack left me feeling slightly empty.
I come to the story and it appears to be an epic in development, with eight books available at time of writing this review.
My final question is if I came to this first book with the next book unavailable would I want to wait for the next? I find my answer is yes I could wait, but I would be intrigued enough by the story so far to read more...
I was completely sucked in by this story
So much mystery, but not so ridiculous you're left frustrated and dissatisfied
The characters were absolutely great, and well thought out.
The strength of this book is an engaging story line that just keeps you turning the pages, wanting more...
I found it rather unengaging, and forgettable. For me, characters were flat, uninteresting, clichéd. The story didn't captivate. Think 'Tangled' mixed with some LOTR, which wasn't as awesome as it sounds.
