I bought this boxed set because it seemed like a bargain and I needed some escapism from the pandemic. I did not expect to love it so much but, hand on heart, it is arguably the best fantasy series I have ever read. I'm 57 years old, female, neurodiverse and I average 3 or 4 fiction books a week. I'm pretty fussy about good grammar and depth of storytelling. Right from the start this series had me completely captivated, I literally couldn't stop reading. The story is so complex, the characters so vivid, the dialogue so convincing. I am completely in awe of Sarah Maas's skill in keeping so many threads running simultaneously as the huge cast is scattered far and wide. It's just incredible writing and filled with so many strong and memorable characters. I cannot fault these other than saying that I agree with other reviewers that book 7 could have been edited down a little but considering the finale in book 8 I can forgive it. No spoilers, all I will say to sum up is that I will definitely revisit this series. Highly recommended.

I’ve read this series before but wanted a copy of my own, they are gorgeous and in perfect condition it came so quickly and are simply perfect!! The box set is best value for money for them on Amazon and totally worth it!! If you haven’t read this series you should her writing is stunning

I bought this little over 1 month ago but did not remove the protective foil until last night- as I wanted to finish 2 other series first. Once I removed the protective foil, I realized that the box was heavily damaged (the books were ok) and had been kept together only by the foil.. . To say that I am not happy , would be an understatment; especially since I can no longer ask for a replacement.
The 1 star is for the condition of the box. I've only finished the first book so I cannot review the series yet.

The first tree books in the ebook 8 books in 1 download were fine but I’ve got to the 4th book and all the apostrophes have been switched with symbols which basically makes it unreadable. I cannot get a refund as it’s been past 14 days so now o have to pay for the 4th book separately and hope the next one is ok! Don’t buy this version.

Honestly this is up there withe the best fantasy series I have ever read- what a journey and the last book I was an emotional mess from start to finish.

I highly recommend tandem reading "Tower of Dawn" and "Empire of Storms" they fit together perfectly and it felt like one book.
