Link Cable 16ft/5m
Transfer data at a speed of USB 3.0. Immerse yourself in the VR world without restriction.
Product Description

Syntech USB A to USB C Cable 3M
Syntech link cable can give and take data from your PC to your Quest2 and enable your Quest2 to function as a Rift instead, making you operate in PC mode, so you'll be capable of going to PC VR worlds. This way you can play both standalone and PC VR games.

Perfectly Compatible with Quest2
The cable is compatible with Quest2 headset in terms of appearance and user experience. The color or the cable perfectly matches the Quest2. Designed to be durable and flexible, this link cable is your preferred choice to enjoy PC VR games with your quest2.

Suitable Length and Comfortable Design
Reaching 3 meters long, the cable not only meets the players’ need for length but also guarantees the quality of data transmission. A user-friendly right-angle design makes it easier to plug and unplug. The attached velcro strap helps our cable to fit closely with your Quest2 to achieve stable signal transmission.

Excellent Functions and Extensive Performances
Transfers data at USB 3.0, making it attractive and fully functional. Stable and fast data synchronization working with sustained and reliable current brings you a smooth VR gaming experience.

We should note that the factors when the wired link fails to connect are not only related to the cable but also to the specifications of the computer graphics card, the computer’s USB 3.0 port, and the version upgrade of the Quest2.

---|---|---|
We don't recommend using this cable to charge your Quest2. The actual current will decrease as the cable length increases, and the maximum current output of most hosts’ and laptops’ USB ports is 1A and 0.5A respectively. So the actual current through this cable will be lower. |
It is recommended to charge your Quest2 in advance, as a low battery on Quest2 will cause unstable connection performance and cause disconnection issues. So please don’t use this cable for wired link when the Quest2 is at a low battery level. |
To help you connect your Quest2 to your computer successfully and smoothly, we have compiled some common problems and solutions for your reference, hoping to help you troubleshoot. Please click the PDF file User Guide in the Product guides and documents section to browse. |

Pay attention:
-Please check the wired link compatibility page to make sure your GPU is supported before you purchase!
-If you want to charge your Quest2 while playing, the charging capability and overall speed will depend on the quality of your motherboard and your pc power supply. Many motherboard USB ports don't output as much power as the standalone chargers.
-Please make sure to plug the USB end into a USB 3.0 port on the motherboard of your PC to ensure optimal performance.

What can I do when my wired link is unsuccessful?
- Check if the graphics card meets the wired link requirements.
- Try restarting the computer.
- Check if the headset is on low power. If yes, please keep the headset power enough and try again.
- Check the computer's USB 3.0 driver and graphics card driver updates, and ensure that the PC software and Quest2 versions are updated to the latest.
- Make sure the cable is into all available USB 3.0/3.1 ports and is connected directly to your computer without extra adapters or hubs.
- Check if Air Link is turned off. If it is not turned off, the wired link performance will be affected.
If you cannot solve the problem through the above methods, we will provide you with technical support.

The wire itself is slightly heavy, enough to were its noticible when draped on you, however, with what this cable allows for that is a little price to pay, its not stiff so will flex and move easily for when its needed, no clue why amazon asks me to rate adhesion so Ill go with how well it sits in the usb c and usb ports, and it essentially clicks into place meaning that paired with the almost reinforced connectors its not going to come out casually when using it with the quest or so on, when I tested it the cable itself transferred at around 2.2gbps which is both solid and more than enough to use the quest or any such headset with it, so, with the quest you can get charging and fast speeds for pc gameplay or fast charging using a good power block for just a quick power top up on any device, again, its just all around a brilliant cable.
At a glance
Pros:
2.2gbps data transfer
Quick charging
flexable
stays in ports extremely well
Cons:
at a stretch the only con is the wire is slightly weighty, which is to be expected
Oh and if all of this wasnt good enough, you can also get a free life time warrenty with the cable you can sign up for on there website.
So, dont buy the overpriced oculus link cable, get this one instead.
Was a bit confused when it turned up and the USB connector didn't have the 3.0 Telltale sign of blue connector pieces... but I connected it all up, and began to use it and it definitely seemed an improvement. However, upon checking my settings it informed me that I would be better off with USB 3, I checked the speed and was getting 331mb.
I checked my computer, everything seemed fine, and I recently bought a USB 3 media drive. This is recognised as USB 3
Everything on my computer is up to date. Everything works fine. But for some reason, this cable never gets the USB 3 speeds of up to 5GBs, and never gets above 4mbs. I've even used it for data transfer outside of the Quest, and it just does not work as it should. Given the price, I will be getting a refund. Whilst this item is definitely cheaper than the official cable, at lest the official one would be as advertised. Hoping the cable is jut faulty though, so will seek a replacement first

The cable (although openly stated) doesn't charge while the headset is active... Even when it's not being used for rift, the data transfe speed is fantastic.
I was baffled to realise it doesn't even slow down the dying of the headset... This cable that has clearly been researched and designed well HASNT been updated with the faster charging available on the market currently rendering itself obsolete.
I've returned and refunded reluctantly to replace for a similar cable with a little booster box that sits near the PC to ensure charging and speed while playing!
I would buy this cable back if the technology was updated to the market standard... Until then I wouldn't buy/anyone who currently relies on it should look on the market and see you could be getting twice the battery life in a session!
The cable has to be connected in a specific direction to maintain a connection. I have USB 3.0 on the back and top of my case, but these do not hold steady connections, When the cable moves during use, the connection is repeatedly lost. To get a solid connection I have had to connect it using a pass-through on my keyboard.
The connection speed is also equally weak. Although stated as a USB 3.0 when tested with the Oculus app is shown to actually be a USB 2.0 giving only 365mbps where as my other cable has speeds of 2.3gbps.

Overall, I like the design of this product, the colour matches the white of the Quest 2 great, the 90degree angle makes it look sleek against the headset and the ample length would allow for a lot of movement.
On the other hand, this cable does not work for its advertised purpose. And when attempting to use it as a charging cable for my phone it can't get above 400MAH which is very, very low for a cable these days. USB 2.0 on a Samsung Galaxy 1 you would find it draws 500MAH. And that's a 12 years old phone now.
I replaced this cable with the recommended third party cable (56K Pull-up Ohm Resistor) on VR User forums recommendations and it worked out of the box.
