Many thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book. I have chosen to write this honest review voluntarily and it reflects my personal opinion. I am enjoying this series so much I have bought the book to read again.
Any reader could enjoy this book as a standalone as there are reminders of past events so nothing important is missed but I urge you to read them in order to get the full experience of getting to know the interesting characters in the beautiful community setting in Shetland. This book concentrates on Pippa (a younger cousin who feela she is misjudged and has to fight with everyone, including behaving so rudely she won't answer people if they ask her a question)), Natalia who swans in with expectations that others are expected to go along with, and Autumn who ignores instructions from her bosses in her efforts to please customers. I found each of these characters irritating and unlikeable which proves what a terrific job the author has done to draw realistic characters. The events progress through a season, as usual, and I can't wait for the next (Christmas) book in the series.
I recommend you enjoy some time out reading this lovely community-based series.

Well, I came across Erin with her amazing book ‘New Beginnings at Rose Cottage’ and since then (I have read and listened to that particular book around 6 times!!) I have read everything she has written and have never been disappointed.Sunny Stays was such a fantastic book as it explores a theme of becoming happy in your own skin and learning to love yourself which I struggled with for ages and as most people, sometimes still do so to be able to delve into another world and see how these characters overcome such an issue was so great for me.It was, at times, hard for me to read as I have been dealing with grief and some parts were very close to home but at the same time it was cathartic to read and helped me a lot in this way also. Nothing better than escapism to give you a better view on reality!Please read this book along with the first in the series, you will not be disappointed. Can be read as a stand-alone but you will want to read the other one anyway so may as well start at the very beginning! It really is a very good place to start! Also, read the rest of Erin’s back catalogue as she really is understated and deserves to be up there with the best! Xx
