    I have 2 cats, they use this all the time- every day! It's the most amazing scratching post I've ever bought! So sturday! 1 side is all scratched and used since its nearly 2 years old! so I've turned it around to the other side and the cats are continuing to scratch it.
    Trust me.. BEST scratching post ever!!

    The first thing that attracted me to this cat scratcher besides it's sheer size and bargain price, was the look of it. I didn't want some cheap, furry thing stood in the apartment. This however, looks like a piece of furniture, like a roman column. It could even double as a telephone stand. I'm sure the manufacturers realized this and they took the liberty to make the wood parts in the picture look and elegant deep brown - with sloped contours. This however is not what you get. The wood is pale MDF and there are no sloping contours. Therefore, the picture is misleading.

    Nonetheless, I'm giving this 5 stars since it's still a quality, sturdy and effective scratch post at a cost which is more than reasonable. Noodles the cat began to use it instantly and is still doing so after a week since purchase - enticed with a bit of cat nip in the seams at eaither side. The cissal holds up well.

    Despite the picture being misleading, this still looks like a piece of furniture. I'd even go as far to say that it looks good as something in the room.

    Get one. Just expect the pale blocks of wood.

    We bought this amazing Ultimate Scratching Tower for our Daisy May, not long after we adopted Daisy May in 2013, she was 10yrs then. Now Daisy is nearly 15 yrs in May 2018 its lasted her 5 years this year and she's just started using the last side this week. She loves stretching out when she's scratching and gets a full workout & full tone-up at nearly 15 yrs she still has her kitten moments bless her.     I read other reviews before I bought this - people seemed enthusiastic.

    They were 100% right.

    I'd give this 100 stars if I could. I've got 4 cats, all of whom love a good scratch. They had a big climbing frame which they destroyed, and I thought this would be ideal.

    It was. They have tried as hard as possible, and it barely looks used.

    Simple to assemble, just join the 2 wooden base pieces together with the wooden pegs, then bolt down. Done. 5 minutes tops.

    Yes, it's unpainted MDF, but it really doesn't look too bad. It looks so much nicer than all the other scratching posts out there, you won't mind having it in your lounge.

    It's heavy, solid, and the cats adore it. I've had cats leap on the side of it, holding on with their claws, and it's remained firmly planted on the ground.

    I'm so impressed I'm going to buy another one.

    Also, the top of it is just big enough for a cat to perch on, ready to leap onto another cat that comes close!

    Simply amazing! I have a Siberian Forrest cat and she usually decimates a scratch post within 6 months of getting a new one. However having purchased this one around two months ago, I can confidently say I know this one will last for years (rather than months). It is incredibly sturdy and the texture/material won’t unravel or be easily pulled away like all the previous posts I’ve bought. I was put off a little by the price - but BELIEVE ME when I say it’s 100% worth it. She is a large and long cat, so the fact the post is tall enough for her to fully stretch out is ideal.
