'Pip Payne is on a mission to help us eat well, without feeling we're on a diet.' - BEST
The bestselling Slimming Foodie is back with a fantastic new collection of slimming recipes. These dishes are as tasty as ever but even simpler to prepare, as they can all be made in one pot, pan, tray or dish.
The Slimming Foodie is known for her simple approach to food; she's a firm believer that you don't need to spend hours in the kitchen to deliver amazing results, nor do you have to completely change your eating habits to lose weight. With Pip's clever swaps and cooking techniques, you can slim down while still enjoying all your favourite foods - it's a modern weight-loss method that puts flavour first.
In her first book, the Slimming Foodie showed us how easy and enjoyable slimming recipes can be. Now she has made dinnertime even simpler by creating delicious all-in-one meals with surprisingly few calories. From flash-in-the-pan dinners to slow-cooked comforts, you will find something for the whole family to enjoy without fuss and with minimal washing up!

About the author

I’m Pip Payne (aka The Slimming Foodie) and I’ve been blogging about food since 2015 from my home on the outskirts of Dartmoor in Devon, where I live with my husband, 2 daughters (aged 10 & 8) and a dog!
The Slimming Foodie all started with a Facebook page - I couldn’t find any inspiration in the recipes out there for people like me - busy juggling all the demands of life, but ready to lose some weight whilst still enjoying food. I started by photographing and sharing our daily dinners, and quickly found that thousands of people were inspired by the food that I was making. The Slimming Foodie has now won 3 industry awards, has over 250,000 followers across social media, and the blog has been read by over 4 million people.
I love food, and the joy of eating. Bringing friends and family together around the table to share in the pleasure of delicious food has always been my passion. But I also know that I need to eat a well-rounded balanced diet to have a positive effect on my health. The journey of discovering new ingredients, experimenting with flavour combinations and the process of bringing it all together in the kitchen, the heart of the home, is exciting for me. Since starting The Slimming Foodie, I have discovered that with a few simple adjustments I can make all of my favourite meals more balanced without losing any of that great taste, creating a plate of food that is truly tempting, can be consumed by family and friends with no feelings of compromising in any way - just the enjoyment of a marvellous meal.
By sharing recipes which inspire people to cook from scratch, The Slimming Foodie is all about delicious, home-cooked meals that can work for anyone who is on a slimming journey. My focus for creating recipes is that they need to be meals that people would want to eat day-to day, that are nourishing, budget conscious and approachable without being too time consuming. First and foremost they have to taste great! But also important is that they use fresh, healthy ingredients that are easily available and that could be prepared in a home kitchen. I also try to introduce some new ideas and foods that people might not have considered before. Ingredients that make the dishes higher in calories have been cut out, reduced or swapped without compromising the dishes in any way, if anything this way of approaching food allows the good stuff to shine through!
I spend my time creating new recipes for the blog, and working with brands to create content for their social media and online campaigns.
My first cookbook The Slimming Foodie was published in the UK on 29th April 2021.
My second cookbook, The Slimming Foodie In One will be published in the UK on 14th April 2022.

Pre-ordering the 2nd book, which arrived today, was absolutely a no-brainer. In fact, I bought book 1 on 25th Feb 22 and my pre-order for book 2 was placed on 3rd March.
The photography is enticing, the ingredients lists are clear and not at all outlandish, the methods are straightforward (especially with book 2 being on pan/tray/pot/dish recipes), portions are decent and calories noted on each recipe. The recipes are family-friendly and you just know that the author loves food, loves feeding people well and is excited about the recipes she is sharing.
Honestly, I am already looking forward to book 3!
Added photo of the bubbling cheesy gnocchi dish made for dinner.

By far, my favourite chef/author. Definitely buy this (and book one), you will not regret it.
I'm off to cook up a storm now :)
Cooking doesn’t feel like a chore anymore, the recipes are really easy to follow and I use this new book or the previous one more or less everyday.
With the help of the previous book I have lost 4.5 stone over around 8 months which has significantly changed my life. Obviously portion control is hard as the dishes are so delicious so I try portion everything up at point of serving and then into fridge or freezer for another day. But they are decent portions anyway so you don’t feel deprived.
Family members have also purchased the books as they saw how much we were enjoying our food through numerous snapchats and they are loving them too.
Can’t wait for the next one although I have so many different recipes to try and have a lot of favourites too!
It’s helping me keep on plan with SlimmingWorld as all the recipes are low fat, and in the first week of cooking with the book I’ve lost 4.5lbs so Added bonus.
The book is well laid out, easy to follow recipes and the food pictures are great, and if the pictures in the book look good that’s what make me want to make the recipe.
So far they have all been winners in our house and I’m looking forward to trying a few more this week.
Highly recommend this book.

Author Pip is no celebrity; she just gives you down-to-earth recipes that are all yummy and doable. Especially if your style is like mine; to prep food, bung it in a tray, saucepan or slo cooker and leave it be.
There are also really helpful sauce and spice mixes in the back, so you can make your own.
This is the follow up to the equally excellent 1st book (yellow) which I also strongly recommend. In fact, you should probably buy that first then move on to this!
