Saturate the soiled area Prior to use, test an inconspicuous area and allow to dry naturally, to test for colour change. Do not use on leather. OK so there will probably be 101 people who will completely horrified by this honest review but here it is. (judgemental people before you read don't sit with the not in my home disgust look on your face it is my life)
My SON yes SON is 9 years old & on top of being autistic he has bowel & bladder problems for which he is being treated for. HOWEVER......
I have 2 pups in here yet it is my son that does the soiling. I'm constantly going around my home looking for wet patches before they dry because then it causes a whole heap of problems. The smell is horrific, the places he does it is random and not going to lie I'm unsure how to stop him we have tried every punishment in the book just about and yet still I wake up sometimes and clearly the smells there and if you vlcant find it the ammonia gets stronger, making me ill etc etc.
So I purchased this as I've tried everything but even when I used the carpet cleaner I was still having the odd whiff (my friend said it was probably just paranoia) however this I used within minutes the litre was not enough (we stay in a town house) but I wanted to try it first.
WELL... to say I'm impressed doesn't cut it. I've already went on and Recieved a second delivery for his play room and now another of the bigger 4 litre bottles. I've used around 10 litres so far and now have 1 left and that's now the spare (I have ordered another as you know he's going to do it again.) he literally has 2 toilets in here and on occasions has passed these to soil somewhere else. So it's infuriating and hard work to get him to stop but now for the first time in a very long time I walk into the house, a room and it's gone!! THE SMELLS ARE GONE! I'm sure I'm not the only one in this position either so I highly recommend this, straight away from the morning after I noticed the smell was away. It's been a few days now it's all dry and been hoovered and it's gone. Get some for a back up but this is the best cleaner by far for this type of odor or stain. Thanks simple solution you made my year!!!

I was looking for something to get rid of the urine smell from our bathroom after having an elderly relative move in with us and came across this, after reading a review from a lady with an autistic son who found this worked for her I took the chance and ordered it and she was right, it works! It’s meant to be for carpet but we’ve got lino in the bathroom and it’s worked fine on it, in fact it’s the only thing that has got rid of the smell! I don’t usually write reviews but in view of the fact someone else’s review really helped me I thought I’d do the same in case mine can help someone else.

Piddle Away!!!

3 dogs in the house with one of them under the impression that he's licensed to piddle anywhere he feels like! 6 month old carpet where he had repeatedly parted with his piddle in the same few places but we had no idea what the little bugger was upto until the lovely thick stench of piddle started to drift under our noses as he was craftily doing it where there was no footfall! Used this before as the spray version which was great but the spray unless you use loads & loads of it seems to just sit on the top layer of the carpet and not penetrate very deep. This bottle however is great as can be used like a squeezy bottle & you are able to absolutely saturate the carpet allowing the magical mixture to hopefully go through the carpet into the backing & underlay to get to work. Used the entire 1 litre bottle in one go on 3 different patches of carpet making sure each area was totally saturated plus the surrounding areas as advised. Instead of leaving for 10 mins to let the solution get to work I left it for well over half an hour bordering an hour & then blotted up any excess gently.

It's been 5 hours since the carpet has been treated & I can hand on heart tell you that this stuff has totally eradicated the vile stench of dog urine that was wafting around the house & believe me the stench had become quite pungent very quickly. Carpet is still quite wet where it's been treated but I have purposely tried to leave as much solution on the carpet as possible so it can work it's magic.

Don't be put off by any negative reviews as this stuff does what it says on the tin as long as you make sure you totally saturate the offending area & ensure you leave it to get to work for long enough before gently blotting up any excess.

Only time will tell whether said dog will repeat his piddling by the treated areas or whether it really does stop repeat marking. Also we will have to wait & see if when carpet is totally dry whether any of the stench returns but from previously using the spray version we know that this stuff really does do what it's meant to.

This stuff works!! We took in a stray kitten who piddled all over the place and we didn't know until it started to smell. This stuff got rid of the smell in hours. Amazing. And what I really loved about it was that you didn't have to scrub. You just put it on and leave. Genius.

It also worked on cat poo. Aforementioned kitten got hold of a hard boiled egg and had an explosive reaction in the kids room. The smell of eggy excrement was eye wateringly revolting. Once the "lumps" had been disposed of and the remaining skids cleaned off, this stuff on top removed the smell altogether.

I cannot recommend this enough.
