I think this game is great!! treasure hunting and riddles to try and find the treasure. Its fun to play with your friends and even solo, id personally recommend this game if you wanna mess about with your friends, fun quests together or even if you just wanna have a chill game. Only thing id say needs to be added is some background music :)

Fun to begin with but quickly got boring and is even worse without friends online with you.

The idea of the game is sound, and maybe in a few months/year, this will be a fully worthwhile game. But right now I can’t help but think I should have waited before buying this. Oh well, hopefully my experience can help others.

The is the first game I've sold on within a few weeks of buying.
It's soooo slow, to get anywhere and do anything.
There's no learning mission, so it's a steep learning curve.
It's no good a single player. Sailing solo is a real disadvantage when you come across any other ships/groups that sink you too easily or nick the stuff you've collected. If you join another crew you're lucky they want to play the game rather than just be numpties.
There's 3 different types of mission, so much repetition.
Disappointed.

Great fun game to play with friends. Much harder on your own as you could play a solo mission for 30+ mins only to have a crew waiting for you to cash in your loot at the outpost which makes everything you’ve done worthless. It does feel a little repetitive, but they are slowly rolling out more content and I have faith Rare will keep on improving this.

Great visuals and the core concept of sailing is absolutely superb but there’s still so much more I was hoping for. The world is generally lifeless with zero story (except for making them up in my head)
Also, despite their constant ideas for team play / cooperation it is the most troll game ever where everyone wants to kill steal and harass

If you want a game we’re you are a pirate we’re you dig up treasure and sail the seas trying to find others to to plunder (you don’t have to plunder others if you don’t want to) the best part is you can if you want to fill your boat up to the point you cannot see the deck you can ( I have done this many times ) but you can do what you want that’s the key point of the game just do what ever you want
