This product is great apart from one tiny but critical design floor. The catch relies on a piece of preformed wire to enable the catch to lock and secure the gate. It would appear to not be made of a quality sprung metal. After a few months of use, the metal fatigues due to its use and breaks rending the gate useless. This tiny little oversight means that rather than having a long-serving good reliable product, I have just requested my second replacement within the last 5 months. If they just fixed this tiny oversight, then this would be a great product.

Please help..! The bolts used to open and close the gate have plastic ends (pictured here and are not shown in instruction manual or product video/images) and it means the gate is extremely difficult to open and close. I am unsure whether I have missed something in your installation and there is a way to remove said plastic bits.. but from following the instructions it doesn’t appear to be noted in there? Can anyone help? Have spent ages looking online and starting to think I am missing something very obvious..!
