However, I did receive the item with a cracked lid-which I don't understand as it was bubble wrapped!

Being prone to shiny skin, I have spent way too much money on products that say they can mattify your complexion. So, deciding to approach my problem differently, I thought, well, if I can eliminate the shine then I'll cover it up, and that's what led me to this pressed powder. When I checked out this type of product on Amazon I discovered that there's plenty of choice as every well-known cosmetic company has its own one. It really is a buyer's market for this type of cosmetic because as my Amazon search showed, these pressed anti-shine powders are all very inexpensive and all rated very highly, so there's a lot of choice. Rimmel is a go-to brand for me, so it was an easy choice to pick this one. It works really well - no more shiny nose for me! It covers just enough to mask the shine, without it looking as though you have tried to cover up the shine with too much product. One tip - leave applying it at least a few minutes after you've applied moisturiser or moisturiser and foundation, as too much of multi products at once can conflict with the effectiveness of each individual one.

This product arrived on time, was the right shade and seems authentic but disappointingly (as per the other reviews)... I have something negative to say; it arrived without packaging/a safety seal, has a small crack down the side of the lid and with a couple chips in the makeup palette. The makeup itself seems unused but without a seal I have no real way of confirming this; gross.

This product was just over two quid as an add-on product... so not worth the money to return, but definitely not worth the money in the first place. I'd recommend stretching your purse strings and avoiding this product.

I bought the transparent version of this product, but didn't like it because it looked very grey and ashy on my skin (I have a medium skin tone).
I decided to give another colour a try, so went with the Silky Beige, which was recommended as my match based on a foundation match website. For reference, I use Revlon Colourstay Foundation in 340 Early Tan.
Silky Beige is a perfect match for me. It really does control shine.
Most importantly for me, it stops my glasses from rubbing off the make up on my nose. I apply it quite generously where the glasses rest on my nose using a thin brush.
It is very good, especially for the price.

Update:
I've started getting cystic spots (hard, big, painful ones without a head) when I use this powder under a face mask.
I was using it fine before the pandemic.
Now I only apply it to my forehead and brow area and avoid anywhere that might be covered for extended periods.
