I've bought this for a friend's grandson who has just been rather poorly, and needed cheering up; I know he loves cars. I was pleased to see that this remote controled car was well built and whizzes around making tuneful melodys and sounds, with flashing lights.
It actually requires four AA batteries, three in the car, and one in the remote control, which aren't included. Then we need unscrewing the back panels to insert the batteries; we are however provided with a small screwdriver for that purpose. As I am giving as a gift, I am fitting the batteries, before handing over; nothing worse than receiving a gift that doesn't work immediately, I thought.
Now the rest is child's play, switch on underneath the car, the back lights flash to indicate ready; press the back window screen, marked 'Switcher' and the top button on the remote and it shoots across the floor. Two upper front buttons on the remote, control the direction travelled. The sounds and melodies that will really appeal to a child, play along as it speeds across the floor; good to see that it has a censor at the front of the car, so it thankfully doesn't smash into anything, automatically stopping, before it crashes.
A fun toy which will have some teaching value, I hope.
News is he is delighted with the car, so I consider it a bargain price for a well made toy, that will hopefully bring hours of fun.
