Was very apprehensive about using this Pen but after trawling the internet for advice am glad I have gone ahead.

Many of the videos I watched specifically stated the thickest pen was much easier to use and less uncomfortable so that is what I used to remove a small skin tag on my neck. Whilst the procedure is slightly uncomfortable it is definitely better than I was expecting and after a few gentle tries and some scabbing the tag is finally removed and whilst there is still a mark and the area is tender once it completely heals it will mean that I can again where a necklace without feeling uncomfortable at the side of my neck where the tag was. I had considered having it removed professionally but the price was prohibitive at the time I wanted it done. This pen at under £20 has got to be worth a try if you are suffering from any of the things it can remove. The whole pen package is packed as sterile as possible.

As said above, this works well on skin tags which is useful as your doctor/NHS will no longer carry out the minor surgery as it’s now deemed to be ‘cosmetic’ so you’d have to pay privately (thanks Boris!!!)

As to removal of moles and freckles, I would offer caution before doing anything and go see your doc. You don’t want to mess about with something that MAY turn out to be cancerous. Whist there, you can ask him/her about removal DIY.

Okay, so I've got to be honest, here. I ordered this pen and have sat looking at it for weeks, too nervous to use it. As other reviewers have noted, the instructions are, frankly, laughable. Remember that you're using this to treat something on your skin, great instructions are definitely needed!

Having read other reviews where people have watched instructional videos on YouTube, I found one where a skin care professional used the pen to good effect. It gave me a lot more confidence. He suggested some good ideas;

1. Use an alcohol based cleansing wipe on the pen tip & the area you're treating
2. Test it on an area you can't easily see in day to day
3. Try the pen on a low setting to begin with, so you can gauge any resulting pain etc.
4. DO NOT attempt to remove a mole with the pen.

Okay, so number 4 might seem a bit obvious or ridiculous, subject to your belief system, but I had a mole removed on the NHS about ten years ago and that was under local anaesthetic; I just cannot imagine this or any other pen being a substitute for a scalpel (I still have a visible scar above my right eye). As the guy on YT said, get it checked out by a health care professional before you start stabbing it with this pen and do yourself a mischief.

Right, confidence boosted, I thought let's give this a go. I started off with a small skin tag under my arm. After three go's with the pen, ranging from a minute to three minutes of prodding it began to come off. I woke next morning to find it in bed with me, unattached. Nice one. It didn't leave a scar or massive mark, but it also wasn't the cleanest separation, either.

I've found that setting the pen above level 3 the smell of burning flesh is a bit unpalatable for me. Also, it then becomes a little like having a tattoo with the needle and buzzing irritation. It's not painful per se, but it was irritating to me. I will use the device to remove another two big skin tags that I have as I'm not sitting in a pool in Greece flaunting them in August!

Overall, a good device. Depending how you feel about beauty treatments etc it could be right up your street. Definitely inexpensive for what it is and I'm sure with practice, greater efficiency and tidiness could be achieved. Not bad at all, and may have been five stars but for those instructions.

How To Use:
-assemble the needle : clean with alcohol, and screw the coarse needle or the needle guard( where the fine needle was inserted) into the tip hole clockwise.

-turn on/off: press the power button for 2s to turn on/off.

The LCD screen shows the battery gauge and the level.

-select levels: short press the power button to adjust the level from 1-9.

Just make sure you read all the instructions,if you feel unsure even after reading, try to find a video it will help.
