I've been using this particular brand for 3 years and don't intend to either stop or change it for any other.
This was my 1st time purchase on here as I usually just pick it up in any supermarket or petrol station. Prices vary, preferably get it when it's half price at £2, but that nowadays happens seldom.
I'll add it to my car after I visit petrol station and fill it up to the top as recommended.
Changes are really noticable, and those are mileage increase of up to 10% in warmer and at least 5% in colder months.
Car feels nicer to drive, engine feels smoother when in different gears, and car itself feels less lagging when on incline.
Performance of my car will be better for the following month, to up to two months without adding more of it to petrol.
I'm driving an Audi Q2 S-line, which is a decent car being driven around without adding Redex. And when I do add it, car becomes so much more, unmistakably different and better.
Note: Make sure that you don't use more than half of this bottle per full fuel tank, and empty it completely before adding the 2nd portion left in the bottle to your car's fuel.
I'd suggest you skip using it for one full tank after you've used the bottle.
Also, if you're buying premium petrol, you don't necessarily have to mix this with it, and that's because in most cases premium gives you the same or at least similar additives as this fuel system cleaner.
It's really a no brainer that I recommend this product!

My dreaded dpf light came on. It wouldn't self regenerate. I used an expensive bottle of dpf cleaner. Nothing changed. I poured this into half a tank and drove 100 miles at 2500 revs. Bit of spluttering then a surge in power. Light has not come back on since. 3 weeks ago Buying another bottle for winter . Has Redex still got a role in modern engines with modern fuel formulations?
I don’t know, but I think it was Channel 5’s Fifth Gear who ran an experiment to try to restore the original bhp to a VR6 VW; they tried this first as the cheapest option, and it had the biggest effect compared to the other solutions (oil/air filter change, new HT leads)
So, why not give it a try, it may not be a noticeable improvement, but you can tell yourself it has - for £2 per treatment!

Am surprised at this product. I used to buy cataclean at £10 a bottle. I got this on Amazon for £2 a bottle and it’s a twos hit bottle and in my opinion it works well. I have a Vauxhall Astra 2.0cdti and as I only make short journeys the dpf kept needing regenerated. But this seems to be keeping it at bay but also you can hear a difference in the engine tone as if it running smoother haven’t noticed any increase though in power or fuel ecconomy

Well I get through a tank of fuel every 2-3 days so my in car dashboard miles to the gallon is pretty spot on. When I saw this miracle item which is supposed to get you more miles by cleaning your fuel system up, I thought it’s definitely worth ago for the 2 pounds. Well I’d be shocked, I followed the instructions and filled my tank with fuel and then added half the bottle, to my surprise within about an hour of driving after filling my miles to the gallon had increased by 3 miles. Not a whole lot no, on a thank of fuel that’s probably an extra 15-20 miles, just about pay for the bottle maybe gain 50-£1 in free fuel, however it does show me that it is obviously helping for the better in my fuel system. So in that case I will 100% be ordering and using this on a weekly basis. Amazing ! Even better is the fact that I thought one bottle was for one thank, it’s actually for two tanks !

Whilst I'm unsure exactly what Redex consists of, for the right price, clearly it is worth buying and gets evidenced results. Amazon being an online retailer seems to be able to sell this consistently for near half of the price of UK high street retailers and whenever you can get these prices, I would recommend purchase. Firstly, at least in my one litre with turbo Ford Fiesta the milage results are clear and cost effective right from adding Redex to the fuel tank. It is also rumoured and evidenced on some online studies to albeit mildly increase engine output in terms of torque and speed. But more importantly, it protects the engine to ensure proper functioning and longevity which is our number one concern in relation to all domestic motor vehicles. Exactly what it does or how much by, I don't think we will ever know, but when you can purchase this for a completive price, the improved milage alone, it's worth it. You probably don't need to and won't see any real difference if you use it every tank like Redex suggest, but if you use it infrequently but consistently, I'm convinced it has serious benefits to ensuring your engine functions as it should for as long as possible. Please note that some cars have an tamper fuel insertion point, where a petrol filler station fuel nozzle is required to open the valve. This is in place to prevent theft primarily but also means you can't add products like Redex. For cars like this, including mine, an 'emergency fuel' adaptor is required. Redex don't make this clear and I feel they should, but these can be picked up very cheaply on the internet.

After i put this in my car i did a long 400 round trip to see family and could feel the different in power the car had on the way back i would say there had been about a 5-10% increase in bhp i was shocked but could really feel it and my mpg had also gone up after i refilled the tank up fully the mpg had got up to 425 miles from 403 miles which is great i Don't think the owner before me had ever used Red X before as with just one tank full it has made so much of a change. I have always used Red X and it's always done good things for the cars i have owned.
