I always enjoy reading Jason's books and this one although slightly different, I feel is one of his best yet.
I certainly couldn't put it down and if the house had fallen down around me, I doubt I would have noticed.
His unique way of putting the storyline together, descriptive of the characters, and places the book is situated are truly brought to life.
Eric seems to be taking a more active role in this one, although I do feel there is more to come with this character.
Although eventually I did have my suspicions, in the end there was still a twist. This certainly has plenty of twists and turns, with a number of red herrings thrown in, and certainly revelations.
Altogether another thoroughly enjoyable read and I certainly would recommend this book and without doubt deserves five stars. I am certainly looking forward to the next book.
As usual I already had this on pre order, but I would like to thank the Author for my advanced copy of this book. This is my honest unbiased review.

This is episode #11 in the brilliant Hidden Norfolk thrillers by J M Dalgleish - and is another very enjoyable tale. Like the rest of the series, I couldn't put my Kindle down.

A young woman is found dead in her bedroom and her daughter with severe disabilities is missing. We have a plethora of suspects including her dad, an ex-husband, boyfriends and neighbours. It's a complex and sad investigation for Tom, Tamara and the team. The author has ensured that the prime characters in this series are well and sympathetically developed - they're becoming good friends!

I'll now have to wait impatiently for episode #12 - due for release in late October 2022.

If you liked previous books in the series, you'll enjoy this one too - highly recommended 😁👌😁

Well l could not put this book down and even sat on an afternoon and read until finished. As ever the story line is tight and well crafted with many leads and suspects but no actual evidence for the crew to get their teeth into. With a fantastic twist in the tale at the end that no reader will see coming until the very last chapter. I am not going to reveal it as it would spoil the enjoyment of trying to figure the case out. Suffice to say it is a departure for the author but is totally believable. You the reader will know what l mean when you get there. So another definite 5 stars. A very very interesting case.
Now awaiting book 12 but in the meantime a novella to read. Keep up the good work Mr Dalglish.

This story had me completely absorbed. DI Tom Janssen, DS Cassie, DC Eric, not forgetting the boss, DCI Tamara make up a great team, resulting in an amazing read. In their private life, they all have their own problems but they have to leave their feelings at home as they work together in solving cases---mostly murder cases.
This is one of the best books this author has written. A real page-turner. I was three-quarters the way through it when I picked up on clues that led me to the true suspect. I was so into the story that I kept willing Tom to notice what I'd suspected. Crazy eh? Well, I was so into the story that it became real, well, to me it did.
5 ***** from this happy reader. Can't wait to get stuck into Book 12

Another good read from J M Dalgliesh. It is well written and a moving storyline. If you haven't read any of the Hidden Norfolk books, I definitely recommend starting from the beginning. The main character's lives, that run parallel to each investigation, are developed further in each book.

As you are presented with the facts you can try and come to your own conclusions before the story reaches its end, or before the final piece of the puzzle is revealed. Either way, this series gives you lots of compelling reading and excellent storylines.

Readers of Alex Smith, Matt Brolly, Angela Marsons, Patricia Gibney should enjoy this series. Happy reading!

Another fabulous read from J.M.Dalgliesh! Make sure you’ve cleared your schedule before starting this crime novel as you won’t even want to answer the phone till you’ve reached the end. As always, Tom and the team are human and credible, the plot is well- conceived and the setting on the Norfolk coast reflects the reality of the location. Like another reviewer, I began to suspect the outcome as the final chapters led to the conclusion, but this did not diminish the power of the reveal. I’m already looking forward to Book 12 in the series!

I am simply loving this series of books. DI Tim Janssen and the team have a really tragic case to solve, but who could it be? The description about each character is really enthralling. So much hope and disappoint is raised in this book. I really thought I knew the ending, but I was so wrong. For anyone starting this series, please start with book one, you will not be disappointed and you will see how the team work and come together. Now I just have to wait for Book 12.
