Excellent product, in my opinion. May not work for everyone

I had a frozen shoulder for nearly a year and have had a few physio sessions which worked for a period. Recently it had become so painful I needed to try something else. As its a muscular pain and ultrasound had helped in the past I tried this.
It has three controls. On / Off switch, Intensity switch and a time switch. The instructions say you should do between two or three minutes at a time on the area you are working on. Some reviewers commented on the fact that the timer only has three settings, 5, 10 or 15 mins and they couldn't do 2 mins. I solved that problem by using my watch to time two mins and then switched machine off
For the intensity levels its trial and error. Low for just under the skin, medium for about 1.5 cms under skin and high for deep pain.
Some comment mention that as it makes no sound, its not doing anything. This is because its ultrasound and outwith our hearing range, There is a light which comes on and flashes if you are not making contact. It also emits a very quiet buzzing sound which you really don't hear that well.
You also need to make sure you use the gel to make good contact.
Every two or three days for about 6 weeks I have been using the machine and each time gave better results. Initially I would get about 6 hrs and I am now pain free, almost.
I get a pain similar to the feeling of a bruise at my shoulder which I can live with. I now have full mobility and rotation in my shoulder. Almost no pain and I now sleep every night. I put this down to the ultrasound machine.
I would recommend it as the cost compared to a visit to physio is a no brainer. £120 equates to 3 physio visits and I have been using it for nearly two months now.

I bought this ultrasound machine to help with my husbands back pain. We used it for about 6 weeks last summer then didn’t find an appreciable improvement in his pain. We started using it again this month (after 8 months of it sitting in the box in the cupboard) and it doesn’t work! The timer button will not allow you to set it going any more. When it worked, it worked. It broke incredibly quickly and I cannot get a refund for it now as there is only a 1 month return window. I would not spend this money again. Not reliable enough for the money.

brilliant product and it works on me!! i have fibromyalgia and in constant pain.. this is the first thing that has given me relief apart from medication! with the fibromyalgia its hard for me to take massage of any sort but this product makes no noise or pressure on the muscle.. so great for me!

Having had Ultrasound therapy at the Physiotherapists before lockdown I purchased this because pain levels were increasing without it. I have been able to use it myself on some areas although by back and shoulders are better if someone else can do it. I already knew that I wouldn't feel anything so discounted the reviews complaining about that and this seemed to be the best value for money I could find. I have found it has helped with pain relief (although nothing is a miracle cure ... never has been) so has been a useful purchase

I bought this as I was referred to physio for my sacriolotis. As I only have a couple of sessions left It works put cheaper buying one for my own use. It has 3 settings and 3 timer options so start off on the lowest first to gauge how it feels. You also get tube of the gel you need so make sure you use plenty but I would also recommend you buy more as this only comes with a small tube and it won't last very long. It can be used on old injuries or new muscle strains or tears. I would recommend seeing your gp if you have persistent pain though. All in all it will save me a small fortune on physio sessions so I'm quids in 😁

Below is an honest account of how I have found using this product.

I purchased it for myself having scoured the market for similar devices at an affordable price. It arrived very quickly, full working order with instructions which were easy to follow. The item is easy to hold, light, portable and seems to be of good quality. I have found it particularly helpful with lower back pain - this is where I've noticed the most relief and is very similar to the ultrasound a physio would use. I've also used this product on other areas though it's with the back that I've noticed the most success.

I've used this device many times now since purchasing a few months ago and it has already saved me the cost of expensive physio appointments so in my opinion, it's worth it and I would purchase again.

Works for competitive athletes

My children are competitive tennis players. So physio costs add up. We went to physio with a pulled hamstring. Once we knew it needed treatment we bought this. Saved us a lot of money. My son's hamstring better after five treatments. Would have cost £50 a treatment but this saved us a lot.

Hasn't worked for me so far,i've tried it on my neck pain from arthiritis and with my sciatica and the first one had no effect,the second actually made it worse.What you need to think about as well is that depending on where the pain is,can you hold it in that location making slow circular movements for 5 plus minutes,and found it really awkward

Because I have motor neurone it's good for my shrinking muscles, and to replace a professional unit a deep oscillation machine which the hospice cannot offer as their lymphedema department has closed due to lack of funding. Revitive isn't as good but helps a little. Robert Dennison
