My favourite sentence has to be 'A tortoise, in a Sainsburys carrier bag, hung on a peg, in the morning!'
Nowhere other than a primary school would something like that sound so common place. Be fair, most of us wouldn't bat an eye lid. Absolutely hilarious and 100% relateable, I chortled, choked on my brew and snorted my way through it. Well worth the wait and a wonderful reminder that those of us lucky enough to work in Primary Schools really do have the best jobs in the world.

Every single sentence in this book so relatable. I couldn't believe how many times I nodded or was able to predict what was about to be said next. It was so comforting to know that these things happen in every primary school and not just my own. I've worked in my school since being an NQT so it was refreshing.
It's also refreshing to know that I'm not the only teacher who wings assemblies, downloads PowerPoints from twinkl and uses 'find and replace' in my reports. I no longer have to suffer from imposter syndrome on a day to day basis!
It is also an excellent insight for those not working in education as teachers really are amazing and have to put up with a lot of, well, alot of 'poo'.
Highly recommended.
I also liked the conversational style and the two different fonts were very easy to read, which is important when you are dyslexic
Firstly, the font differentiation is not that clear on my device so it's confusing which brother is speaking
I found the 'brotherly banter' irritating and unecessary.
Some funny and laugh out loud moments but most of it is predicatable and tedious. There were lots I could relate to as a parent and a TA but most of it was typical daily occurances.
A lot of content was the authors giving themselves a 'slap on the back' for achieving great results and them being quite proud of their poor attitude when at school themselves.
I can't imagine there are many more antedotes to be discovered in this book so I think I might call it a day and admit defeat.
This book does not match the hype and is not as funny as other reviews suggest- stick to watching the podcasts, you'll lose less time!
