About this item
- Catch, survey and research wild Pokémon to create and complete the Sinnoh region’s first Pokédex in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, coming to Nintendo Switch on 28th January, 2022. Pokémon Legends: Arceus honours past Pokémon games’ core gameplay while infusing new action and RPG elements.
- You’ll be brought to the Sinnoh region, the setting for Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl. But this story unfolds in a long-gone era, before ideas such as being a Pokémon Trainer or having a Pokémon League even existed. All around, you’ll find Pokémon living wild in harsh environments that make for a Sinnoh unlike the region you may remember from the days of Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl.
- To catch Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, you can observe them to learn their behaviour, then carefully sneak up, aim your Poké Ball and let fly! You can also have your ally Pokémon battle wild Pokémon that you hope to catch. Just throw the Poké Ball holding your ally Pokémon near a wild Pokémon, and you’ll seamlessly enter battle and command your Pokémon by choosing from moves it knows.
- As you start off on your adventure to create the region’s first Pokédex, you’ll be able to choose Rowlet, Cyndaquil, or Oshawott as a partner. These three Pokémon arrived with a Pokémon Professor, who encountered them on research excursions to various regions.

This is a completely new direction for the Pokemon games and BOY it’s definitely worked and over due when this was announced I was so so so excited for its release I’ve been a Pokemon fan since the gameboy days with Pokemon red and blue I love Pokemon but even I was getting slightly bored of the same RPG style game for the past 25+ years but this one is a breath of fresh air it’s been on every single day since release and I absolutely addicted to it the story mode is actually a story with decent details this time around and last a good 25 hours from start to finish the battle style catching the Pokemon throwing poke balls and seeing Pokemon walking around is truly amazing the fact that they can attack you is a really good new feature that gives the Pokemon character like never before the amount of Pokemon available is massive the crafting of poke balls etc is a good bonus and this game just works it really does I could talk about this for days yes the graphics aren’t the best but it makes up for it in so many more ways a absolutely must buy for anyone who owns a switch the only downside to this game play is it can become a little grindy sometimes which can happen with RPGs that’s why it’s got four stars not five but highly recommended all the same

Genuinely poor game, with some of worst attention to detail I’ve seen. This is a sub £20 at best and playing it reminds you that it was rushed. Pixelation literally everywhere, washed out colours, frame drops, the list goes on. It’s actually really distracting and I’ve just decided to return it. They need to give these games to another studio as this is a lazy effort.

I wasn't really sure what to expect with this one, but I like it and I think others will too. It's very different from any of the other Pokémon games, the battles are more realistic, you can call out your Pokémon to get berries and materials for you, you can craft Pokéballs and potions, and you're given research tasks that you have to complete in order to add Pokémon to the poke dex. The personality type of a Pokémon determines how you can catch it, so some you can sneak up on to catch and others you must fight.
You can get knocked out by wild Pokémon if you're not careful. It's true that the graphics aren't as good as say, BOTW, but I'm not really finding it bothersome. The game's very interesting and new and I'm curious to see where it will take me!

This is the game we've all been waiting for, that finally shakes up the formula and modernises it. Catching pokemon has never been more fun till the arrival of this game giving you the option to sneak up and catch pokemon without battling. This genuinely feels like Pokemon has finally been formatted into the modern JRPG's we've been playing in the past decade. Don't second guess this purchase and thank me later, if you've been on the fence with pokemon as of lately with the subpar release of brilliant diamond and pearl this honestly has restored my faith in the franchise.

I bought this for my son as he is a big Pokémon fan. However I thought I’d have a little go and now I can’t put it down, it’s amazing. Sure some of graphics are a little hazy with lazy texture mapping and objects etc pop into view without any warning. But let’s not forget that this is not BOTW it’s Pokémon and it’s a gorgeous looking game, it’s fun, but can also be challenging at times. Finding and then catching Pokémon that you’ve heard of is so much fun, when I found my first Pikachu I said to myself omg it’s a Pikachu and was hoping that it wouldn’t flee the scene before I’d caught it. Got to catch ‘em all. Just a pleasure to play.
Amazon for some reason didn’t dispatch the game until 1 day after the release date, so obviously it arrived late. But the game is still brilliant.

This game is really good however there are some faults.
Things good about it:
Even though you have your standard dream team in your head the game makes you venture out for all different kinds of Pokémon which will automatically change your mind about your starting six.
The game has plenty of content so boredom will not come to you if you dont rush.
The story line makes sense especially for new players if they recently got BD/SP.
NPC’S are not catching you every corner so you will finally have a chance to breath if you have been playing since RED/BLUE
HM’S ARE NO MORE!!
Things that are bad:
Graphics are super poor, it was obviously made in the Covid19 Lockdown because it literally has Minecraft rendering block on corners, edges and far distances.
The new exclusive pokemon for this game are really bad accept Dialga, Palkia, Zoroark & Stantler. Hisuian weavile looks like a girl that spends all her time at the club and hasnt heard of a soft drink.
The levelling up system is way to easy, you can literally have a pokemon with maxed out IV’s within a hour of the catch.
Legendary's come really late in game like really late, you wont have a taste of a legendary Pokémon until 30+ hours of gameplay
Online features are bad its literally Pokémon go on the switch.
Out of all the pokemon games on switch this is a Joint first with BD/SP so i recommend buying but it aint your average Pokémon game

Wow what a waste of money and time. Everything is wrong in this game - from weird missions and quests, awful new forms of some old Pokemon, the longest and most boring entry and explanation ever in a Pokemon game, a region that just looks awful (in every way) to a general plot of the game, which is boring. I couldn’t sit through the whole game so I just stopped playing. It is completely different than previous Pokemon games, which some people find interesting. I just find it boring cause it simply is. Don’t mind having something new, like a Pokemon game we’ve never seen before that makes you do things you never had to do before in Pokemon games, but they should have handled it much better. Such a let down for £50. Thought it would be a breeze of freshness in Pokemon game world, but while it is something new indeed, to me it was a breeze of boredom.
