This dock is great, I was lucky enough to get a ps5 but getting this dock has been a struggle.
The dock looks great, I love how it matches the console, something to keep in mind though, this doesn’t connect directly to the PS5. It needs its own wall plug so free one up if you want this. Power cable is nice and long and the power brick is small enough to tuck away. Seems very solid, this won’t be sliding around at all especially with two controllers docked in place. Very happy with this

Got this today, brilliant charger and also a stand to hold my duelsense controllers - I got mine at £24.99 as I was willing to wait until Amazon had them in stock - I would suggest anyone else wanting one should do the same as some of the market place prices are just a ripoff

I am not a Sony fanboy, or I was not until the PS5. I am a gamer and also own the Xbox Series X, so my review is totally independent and unbiased.
I googled this question, but in the end I had to find out myself. Once you have the controller on the dock, the LED in the middle will glow orange. Once you have no LED then the controller is fully charged. It takes roughly around three hours for a full charge which usually lasts around eight hours, maybe slightly more depending upon which game you are playing.
My tech boxes are piling up, from the PS5, Xbox Series X, Google Pixel 4a, Google Home Max, LG 4K TV, two controllers still in the box and now this. I literally spent £10 extra just for the box but to me it is well worth it, having a third party charger box next to big brand names, just would not look the same.
Ok so let's talk about the charger rather than my box collection. I was hoping that I would be able to fit next to the PS5 on my TV stand shelf, but sadly the charger and controller are just far too big for that gap so a major problem for myself. However, if you have a big gap then you should be ok, at an estimate in height it is around five inches with the contoller attached.
The charger is boring and bland and a bit disappointing to be honest, I have seen far better looking third party chargers that look like they are official chargers. Sadly Sony designed a mind blowing looking console and then boring accessories, hence one of the reasons that I am giving this a four star review.
The only LED is on the controller itself, which I found awkward to put on the stand, I had to reseat a few times, maybe it was my OCD before the lights came on, once I have a few more charges then I should hopefully be a pro.
The Pros
----------
1) It saves a USB slot
2) It saves you money on the electric, I was having my PS5 turned on to charge the controller, I know that I could have it on standby and having it charging, but I was too lazy to mess around with the settings to have it not turn off after a while. I could have also used my spare controller, but I want that just in case of breakages.
3) The box, it just looks so much cooler, having the official boxes rather than unofficial knockoffs.
The Cons
-----------
1) It costs £10 more than unofficial products
2) The looks leave a lot to be desired (No LEDs etc etc)
3) Slightly awkward to sit the controller on
4) The packaging is very tight with the box inside, you need to have the patience of a saint to unbox it without damaging the outer packaging.

The product is great if you don't have any silicone cases on your controllers. I have to use the silicon grip cases due to sweaty palms and when I needed to charge the controllers, I would have to take then off each time. This product is not compatible with silicone cases therefore do not buy.

I owned the PS4 version of this. It looked great, kept cable mess down and charged a couple of controllers. The only problem with it was it was incredibly fiddly to actually mount the controllers, really annoying you'd end up picking the thing up to get it right.
I was worried that this one would be the same, however PS5 version is much, much easier to use. just drop the controller onto the slot and it fits, no picking it up to shimmy it in!

At some stage these were even harder to obtain that the actual PS5, but they seem to be in better supply now in contract to the console it self.
The charging station has a proper weight, not too heavy, but just enough not to tip over when you swap controllers. I can hold two controllers and other than the official PS4 charging station, the DualSense charging station requires less fiddling to get the controllers in their sockets. Your controllers will be charged fairly quickly, depending on how much the battery was depleted and whether you charge one or two controllers simultaneously. Swift charging is crucial if you in in the middle of an epic game session, still it takes the DualSense charging station about 2.5 hours to charge a single controller, and two controllers can be fully charged simultaneously in 3.5-4 hours - so it makes sense to keep one controller in the charging station at all times. Overall it feels like a durable, high quality type of charger, that is actually quite affordable.
The dual charger comes in straight forward packaging, of the same type and appearance as the other PS5 accessories like the DualSense controller and headset. Inside you will find the charger itself, a mains cable and, a little annoying power adaptor - I really wish manufacturers made an effort to include the latter in the actual product itself. On the other hand the main benefit of a mains powered charging station is that you will keep a USB port free on your PS5 for other purposes.

When I got my PS5 this was out of stock everywhere so I bought a cheap knock off. I shouldn't have bothered. That cheap knock is now in the recycle bin and replaced by this well built, heavy , official sony unit. Highly recommended. It just hammers home that old saying..."Buy cheap, buy twice".
Stick with the official Sony products, they're pricey but they just make the best kit !

Even though I purchased the venom charger I always wanted the official ps5 dualsense charging dock so when finally came back in stock I ordered it. Arrived at 11am next day after placing the order, my daughter thought it was a miniature ps5. Ok enough bout that, took it out the box and actually surprised to how small and narrow it was compared to the pictures and other reviewers pics, but it’s heavy which is a good thing as won’t fall over and damage the dualsense controllers. It looks nice and hope can deliver performance.
