my first blade that came with the razor lasted me 4-5 months easily and I only changed it because I had had it for so long.
bought these 2 blades and straight away the blade was 'grabbing' at hairs in sensitive areas and pulling them rather than normally just whizzing thru them like butter..so I thought must have a duff blade and opened the other one while it was a little better it wasn't nowhere near as good as the original blade so not sure whats going on as the shave from these is normally as smooth as a wet shave.
I ended up as someone else did and picked another blade up in boots chemist and that one is perfect, night and day difference so if this is indeed Philips who are selling these blades you need to look into whats happening or where your blades are coming from because this is not good and spoiling a fantastic little razor.
However, there is one issue with this shaver and that's the blade; it's very delicate and can be easily broken. I can see why the design is the way it is as it adds to the functionality of the product. But I've found there's two ways to avoid breaking these costly blades:
1. Don't push it too hard against your face; it is very effective and there's no need to use a lot of force when shaving.
2. When travelling, make sure that you use the protective case that it comes with. This blade doesn't stand a chance in your shower bag without it!
Absolutely awesome product; I'd definitely recommend it!
Bit on the expensive side though and there’s no alternatives other than genuine replacements.
I use my OneBlade three days a week and I can get about 6 months out of one blade until it starts to pull at hair rather than cut.
Considering the high price per blade and the 6-months I get from each, it’s actually not that bad value for money.
Does a very close cut and very precise, very comfortable and doesn’t hurt or cut like tradition shaving blades.
*The plastic hinges on the blade are very delicate as they flex a lot when shaving and they can break very easily. I broke one by dropping the shaver on the floor. Just go easy with pressure on your face and always put the protective blade case on when not in use.*

It is actually much better than a regular blade as all you need is to run it in water.
On everyday use, however, it is terrible as it fails to grab and cut small hair and I have never had so many red bumps in my life.
I also found that the one blade is much more efficient when used with water and shaving cream.
Dry use, especially after sweating, can get pretty sticky.
My recommendation: Keep a razor for everyday use and the One Blade if you're a sporadic shaver, like me :)
It just would not matter. Then I switched to hair trimmers. My breakouts stopped pretty much immediately. But then I would not get that close up of a shave. Philips OneBlade is certainly the closest to the razor shaving but without the burning effect. It may still cause breakouts if I press too much, but I am not doing it. This is what I have been looking for for a very long time.
One thing I wish it had, tough, is the charge indicator. It ran out of battery on me in the middle of the shave. One more thing is that you can't use OneBlade while it's plugged in. So, you have to wait until is charged enough.
But then again, there is no way to know how much it is charged.
Despite those cons, the product still deserves a 5-star rating.

I've had the shaver for a while now & have had replacement blades before, but never had any go like this & in such a short time.
